Be careful when cutting images as the paper may be used for more than one page of the album. If time permits use distress ink on your papers. Tools, Adhesives & Ink: Paper trimmer, ruler, pencil, scissors, 1 2 hole-punch, double-sided adhesive, dimensional foam adhesive, strong liquid glue *Optional supplies: brayer, Viva Décor Pearl pen - black, sponge applicator, Distress inks - Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Broken China, Spiced Marmalade Optional Metal Staples Supplies: 1 pack Metal Door Plates & Knobs ( ) Directions: Step 1: Album Cover 1. Carefully cut and ink the following images from a sheet of listed paper: - Vintage Hollywood Silver Screen - pg 1 of 7

2 2. Cut the three largest stars in varying sizes from a Star Studded sheet. Mat the largest star on Dazzling Diva and the two smaller stars on Delightful Debut and ink with coordinating colors. 5. Add image of woman to the bottom left of the page. 3. Cut a 5¾ x 7¾ rectangle from Tinseltown, ink edges with Black Soot. Arrange the image of the couple and the smallest star on the left side of the page. The star will go behind the man s shoulder. Once arranged, adhere to the page. 7. Add the last star to the lower right of page using dimensional foam adhesive then add the Vintage Hollywood title to the lower left side of the star. 6. Using dimensional foam adhesive, adhere the small image of woman so that her back meets the cheek of the focal image as shown. 4. Add the largest star just to the left of center as shown. 8. If using a Viva Décor Pearl pen add liquid pearls to the three stars on the cover. Note: The image shows a close up of the bottom star for detail. For the other two stars see the main image on page 1. pg 2 of 7

3 Step 2: Tags Tag 4: Blood and Sand (Top left) Add the 3 x 4 Blood and Sand ephemera card to the center of the tag. Apply liquid pearls to the outer edges of the ephemera card. Thread 10 black ribbon through the punched hole and tie a bow once the liquid pearls are dry. Tag 5: "Screenland - Floral Side (Top middle) Trace the tag design onto the blue side of Dazzling Diva, punch hole and adhere to tag trimming as necessary, ink the edges using Broken China. Using the floral side of the blue 3 x 4 Screenland ephemera card, adhere to the center of the tag. Thread 10 black ribbon through the punched hole and tie a bow. When the tags are created allow the liquid pearls time to dry during class. For the tags with liquid pearls, apply the ribbon once the album has been completed and the pearls are dry to the touch. Tag 6: Born to Be a Star (Bottom middle) Add the Born to Be a Star ephemera card to the center of the tag. Apply liquid pearls to the top corners of the ephemera card and around the punched hole. Thread 10 black ribbon through the punched hole and tie a bow once the liquid pearls dry. Step 3: Pocket Covers Tag 1: Screenland - Orange (Bottom left) Trace the tag design onto the number design side of Tinseltown, punch hole and adhere to tag. Trim if necessary and ink the edges. Add Screenland ephemera card to tag. Trim if necessary and ink the edges using Black Soot. Cut the Screenland image from the bottom of Spotlight, ink and add to the center of the tag. Thread 10 black ribbon through the punched hole and tie a bow. Tag 2: "Screenland - Blue (Bottom right) Add the blue 3 x 4 Screenland ephemera card to the center of the tag. Apply liquid pearls to the top corners of the tag and around the punched hole. Thread 10 black ribbon through the punched hole and tie a bow once the liquid pearls are dry. Tag 3: The Award Goes To (Top right) Add the 3 x 4 The Award Goes To ephemera card to the center of the tag. Apply liquid pearls to the outer edge of the tag. Thread 10 black ribbon through the punched hole and tie a bow once the liquid pearls are dry. Create six pocket covers by cutting two 11 x strips each from the following sheets and inking with coordinating colors: Delightful Debut, Dazzling Diva and Star Studded. You will wrap each cover strip using both sides of the paper in the following order: Pocket 1 Delightful Debut floral side Pocket 2 Dazzling Diva blue side Pocket 3 Star Studded - star side Pocket 4 Dazzling Diva image side Pocket 5 Star Studded art deco side Pocket 6 Delightful Debut orange side pg 3 of 7

4 Step 4: Inside Album Covers the 3 x 4 Lady with Gentleman and Blood and Sand ephemera cards as shown. Once arranged, adhere the film strip and Lady and Gentleman images to the page. Use dimensional foam adhesive to adhere the Blood and Sand ephemera card. Right page: Add tag once album is completed. Trim Delightful Debut to 12 x 7¾. Cut two 5¾ x 7¾ mats, ink edges using Black Soot and adhere to the front and back inside of covers. Step 5: Album Pages Pages 4 & 5 - Left page: Ink Vintage Hollywood and Screenland ephemera cards and add to pocket. Right page: Using dimensional foam adhesive, ink and adhere The American Venus and Dangerous Curves images from the Tinseltown sheet. Page 1- Right page: Add the 4 x 6 The American Venus ephemera card to the center of the page. Pages 6 & 7 - Left page: Cut a 5¼ x 7¼ mat from Dazzling Diva, ink with Spiced Marmalade and adhere to page. Right page: Adhere Mary Pickford Coquette ephemera card to the center of the page. Pages 2 & 3 - Left page: Prior to gluing, Cut film strip and lady image from Vintage Hollywood and arrange pg 4 of 7

5 Pages 8 & 9 (Previous image) - Left page: Cut a 5¼ x 7¼ mat from Glitz and Glamour, ink with Black Soot and adhere to page. Right page: Add the Screenland tag and the Lights, Camera, Action 4 x 6 ephemera card to the pocket once the album has been completed. Pages 14 & 15 - Left page: Cut a horizontal 5¼ x 2¾ strip from Delightful Debut, ink with Black Soot and adhere to the center of the page. Add The Penalty image from Tinseltown to the upper left side of page. Add the 3 x 4 Born to be a Star ephemera card to the lower right side using dimensional foam adhesive. Right page: Add the 4 x 6 Vintage Hollywood Woman image to the pocket. Pages 10 & 11 - Left page: Add Mary Pickford Coquette ephemera card to the pocket. Right page: Cut the Rough House Rosie and Gloria Swanson Beyond the Rocks images from Tinseltown. Adhere Rough House Rosie to the left of center then add Gloria Swanson to the right, center of the page using dimensional foam adhesive. Page 16 & 17 - Left page: Add the ephemera cards shown to the pocket. Right page: Cut a 5¼ x 7¼ mat from Glitz and Glamour, ink with Black Soot and adhere to page. Pages 12 & 13 - Left page: Cut a 5¼ x 7¼ mat from Dazzling Diva, ink with Black Soot and adhere to page. Right page: Add 4 x 6 floral ephemera card to the center of the page. Pages 18 & 19 - Left page: Cut a 5¼ x 7¼ mat from Glitz and Glamour, ink with Vintage Photo and adhere to page. Right page: Add the ephemera card with the image of the couple to the center of the page. pg 5 of 7

6 Add The Kid image from Tinseltown and adhere to the lower left side of the page using dimensional foam. Pages 24 & 25 - Left page: Create a 4¼ x 6¼ rectangular mat using Star Studded, ink with Black Soot and adhere to the center of the page. Right page: Ink with Vintage Photo and adhere Born to be a Star 4 x 6 ephemera card to the center of the page. Add Corinne Griffith image from Tinseltown to the bottom of the page just slightly off center to the left using dimensional foam adhesive. Page 20 & 21 - Left page: Adhere the Mary Pickford Couple and Charlie Chaplin Gold Rush images from Tinseltown to the top of the page leaving about 1 8 between images. Add the Mary Pickford Coquette image to the lower right side of page using dimensional foam adhesive. Right page: Add the 4 x 6 ephemera postcard and the tag to the pocket. (Add tag once the album is complete or dry to the touch.) Pages 26 & 27 - Left page: Add images cut from Tinseltown, center and adhere ½ from the bottom of the page. Add Screenland image cut from Vintage Hollywood, ink with Vintage Photo and mount using dimensional foam adhesive. Right page: Add tag to pocket once the album is completed. Page 22 & 23 - Left page: Ink Mary Pickford and Rudolph Valentino, Blood and Sand from Tinseltown with Black Soot and add to pocket. Right page: Create a 4¼ x 6¼ rectangular mat using Star Studded, ink with Black Soot and adhere to the center of the page. Pages 28 & 29 - Left page: Add ephemera, The Award Goes To, Hollywood and Not all Stars Belong to the Sky to the pocket. Right page: Add image of the couple that was set aside. Add 1 8 Scor tape to the outer and lower edges of the image. This will create a pocket. Adhere to the lower right side of the page, add ephemera to the pocket. pg 6 of 7

7 Pages 30 & 31 - Left page: Using ephemera cards and the Valentino image cut from Tinseltown, ink edges and adhere in the following order: Born to Be a Star, upper left corner, Vintage Hollywood to the lower right and the Valentino image to the upper right. Right page: Adhere Post Card ephemera card to the page using dimensional foam adhesive. Pages 32 & 33 - Left page: Cut a 5¼ x 7¼ mat from Spotlight, ink with Black Soot and adhere to page. Right page: Add Lights, Camera, Action ephemera card to the pocket. Pages 34 & 35 - Left page: Add two ephemera cards, Shine Bright like a Diamond and Lady with Gentlemen, to the pocket. Right page: Create a 4¼ x 6¼ rectangular mat using Dazzling Diva, ink with Vintage Photo and adhere to the center of the page. Page 36 Last Page : 1. Cut a 1 x 6¼ vertical strip from Delightful Debut. Create a tail by cutting an inverted v shape at the bottom of the strip, ink edges with Spiced Marmalade and adhere 2 from the right side of the page. 2. Adhere ephemera Shine Bright like a Diamond to the center. 3. Cut a 1 x 4½ vertical strip from Dazzling Diva. Create a tail by cutting an inverted v shape at the bottom of the strip, ink edges with Broken China and adhere 1¼ from the right side of the page so that it overlaps the ephemera card. Be sure not to cover the words. Step 6: Add Tags You will now add the tags featured in Step 2. If they are not dry to the touch, allow more time before adding to the pockets Pocket 1: Screenland (Orange Background), Page 3 Pocket 2: Screenland (Blue Background), Page 9 Pocket 3: The Award Goes To, Page 15 Pocket 4: Blood and Sand, Page 21 Pocket 5: Screenland (Blue Background, Floral Side), Page 27 Pocket 6: Born to Be a Star, Page 33 Step 7: Add Ribbon and Cover Page 1. Add the 44 ribbon around the center of the book. Cut an inverted v shape on the tails of the ribbon. 2. Adhere cover page to the front of the album. 3. If adding optional metal knob set to the right, center of the front cover. 4. Cut a 5¾ x 7¾ rectangle from Dazzling Diva and place on the back cover of book. pg 7 of 7
