2 Executive Summary Mission statement Our mission is to create paper symbols that represent life and meaning. Paper symbols such as the paper crane which represents long-life, happiness, good luck and peace. Business opportunity We want to capitalize origami, because it d be a great opportunity to show how paper can be made into symbols. Origami will never go out of style, and we could also teach others how to make origami. Accounting and Finance 1. Total Sales Quantity On Market Day, we would like to attract at least people. We think that they will buy at least 2-5 origami products. 2. Cost of Goods Sold - It will cost $7.50 to make 100 origami symbols. Equipment/Supply Name Cost Each Qty. 3 Industry Environment Overview of the industry Origami is the traditional Japanese art of folding paper. Origami is made and are given as gifts to the people you re close too. They can also be decorated for parties such as: weddings, birthdays, or just in your room. Projected position for the future Our organization in the future represents how origami can be in a museum where it shows bigger origami symbols. I think that we could beat our competition, because our competition is making motivational stickers and they don t really last long unlike origami. Potential customers Our potential customers are people who love origami and art. The age is all ages and their interest would be thinking that it s awesome; they love art, and like origami. Four Ps of Marketing Product Mix - Origami is going to have an impact on the industry, because it s fun to make, it can be given as gifts, it lasts longer, and it s meaningful. The designs that we will make are butterflies, paper cranes, lily flower, 3D stars, and ribbon bows. Price - The strategy that we ll use is skimming, because we can lower the price when there are a lot of competitors. The price will go up and down depending on the buyers. 2

4 Promotion - Our product will be advertised and promoted by making flyers of having pictures of the origami symbols and having the prices on there, and we would put them around school. Our logo is and our slogan is Origami Art, something for everyone. Place - Our product will be distributed by having the some origami already premade in 5 packs and some will be hand-made. The booth will have the 5 origami symbols on the table and there will be origami paper ready to go to be handmade. Market Research We surveyed 10 people of having different origami symbols. Core operations A risk management would be over working or hurting your hand, and there isn t a customer delivery service. We will prevent injuries by taking our time and taking turns to fold paper. Liquidation /30Pts We will clean-up the booth giving out free extra origami symbols, and then fold up the signs. In a letter to the investors we will include that origami is fun and it s for anyone who loves making paper into art. Origami will never go out of style, and we could also teach others how to make origami. Another thing is explaining how we advertised, make the origami, set up the booth, spreading the word, sell, and clean-up, add up the sales, and determine the gains or losses.
