2 English Happy Reading! Here is a list of books you can help your child choose according to her level of reading. (Level 1 being the highest level) Level 1 a) Series of books by Enid Blyton b) Fun in Devlok series by Devdutt Patnayak. Level 2 a) Favourite Tales and Read It Yourself Series from Ladybird Level 3 & 4 b) The Cat in the Hat s learning Level 3 library series by Tish Rabe & Others. a) Step into reading level 2&3 From the stories that you have read, write a paragraph each on any two characters ( the characters chosen should be from two different stories). Draw brightly coloured illustrations for the paragraphs. Project We all love to spend time with our grandparents, but have you ever wondered how their lives were different from ours? This is an opportunity to talk and find out more from your grandparents or any other elderly person you know and fill in the worksheet given. Put in as much description and detail as possible. Add extra sheets if necessary. Science A wind vane is an instrument for showing the direction of the wind. 1. How to make a wind vane: You will need: A twig with a soft centre or a pencil with an eraser at one end A drinking straw A pin A piece of card paper Slit the straw at each end and insert the arrow shapes in it. Push the pin through the straw into one end of the twig or pencil The straw should remain balanced on the twig.
4 Rain Gauge 2. How to make a Rain Gauge? 1. Take an empty 2 litre plastic bottle. Cut off the top of this bottle about the quarter of the way down. Be careful to cut this smoothly. 2. Simply remove the bottle top and invert the upper part of the bottle into the bottom part. 3. It should fit in properly, but to make sure it does not fall out, use paper clips to hold the two halves together. 3. Do the Moon Observation Sheet pasted in the Science notebooks.
