SCHOOL Class-II Holiday Home Work INTRODUCTION It s time to stack the books up in the row upon the shelves, and pack the charts and posters in neat pile by themselves. Collect the paints and pencils and put the class work away. For school time is over and it s summer holidays!! GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Revise the syllabus covered till date (for all the subjects). Bring holiday homework in a beautifully decorated folder. Parents are requested to only guide the children while doing the homework. Homework/ Project will be assessed on the basis of neatness, creativity and originality of ideas. A separate notebook (3 in 1) should be made for doing Hindi, Math and S.st homework. Do English and Science homework on A4 size sheets. ENGLISH Q.1 Read at least one book from the list given below:- a. The ginger bread man b. Sly fox and red hen c. The three little pigs d. Town mouse and country mouse Make a pictorial banner stating the moral values which you have learnt from the story. Q.2 Read lesson 1 to 3 of your text book and find 30 difficult words. Use dictionary to find their respective meaning, thereafter make your own mini dictionary by arranging the words alphabetically and writing their meaning. Add pictures to make it attractive. Q.3 Read newspaper daily (student s corner). Cut any 5 crossword puzzles and solve it. Paste them on A-4 size sheet. Q.4 Pick out any five words everyday from the newspaper, magazines and storybooks for seven days. Cut and paste them on A4 size sheet. The words should be bold and should have the vowels and blends. Vowels- a, e, i, o, u Eg- a - aeroplane, axe, apple Words with the following oo, ee, ell, sh and ch words.

2 Eg- oo - pool, tool, stool. Also write- 10 action words 20 naming words 10 new words with their meanings. Q.5 Do one page of Cursive Strokes book daily. See any one of the film given below and answer the following questions on the A-4 size sheet. a. Finding Nemo b.stuart little c.the lion king Q1.Which film did you see? Q2.What was the story about? Q3.What did you like in the story? Q4.Which character did you like in the story? Q5.Why did you like the story? Q6.Draw and colour a picture of your favourite character from the film You have seen. SCIENCE Q.1 Draw a boy or a girl and dress him/her according to different seasons:- a. Summer b. Winter c. Rainy Q.2 Make a beautiful collage on healthy and unhealthy food on A-4 size sheet Q.3 Prepare pictorial flash cards showing different safety rules to be followed at school. Q.4 Get cool this summer! Write 5 points that you can do as a student to save the earth. Do you like to travel? Paste pictures of places you have visited. Write a few lines about the place you liked the most. Art & craft Q.1 Make flowers, butterflies or puppets using plastic bottles. Q.2 Make fruit basket, handbag or flower basket using paper plate. Q.3 Draw and colour a flower vase and a doll. (use A4 size sheet) Q.4 Do pg. no. 9, 13 & 29 of Art & Craft book. COMPUTER Q.1 Paste/Draw the pictures of human being and computer.mention their parts on A4 size sheet.
