9 Joey Count von Zepplin is the great inventor of the blimp. He invented the blimp on March 14, 1899 in the United States even though he originates from Germany. The blimp is a large skinny cylinder shape covered framework with compartments holding gas, engines, and passengers. His contribution to flight made a quieter transportation for the military. His invention also changed the way we look at major sports forever. In conclusion Count von Zepplin is a great aviator and overall great man.
