3 Kharadorn Empire The Kharadorn are a feline race that is the principal enemy of the Phalon. Kharadorn warriors consider Phalons to be quite tasty. Kharadorn Society The Kharadorn are a feudal society consisting of around a dozen great houses that spend a great deal of their time warring against each other. The various houses rarely join forces with each other, and even on those few occasions they have, it was only long enough to repel an invader. The Kharadorn are extremely xenophobic and would rather shoot an alien vessel than make contact. Kharadorn Technology The Kharadorn are roughly on the same technological level as most of the nations in Human space. However, they do lag somewhat behind in a few key areas. They are unsophisticated in fighter technology, being limited to standard fighters and assault craft. They also lack the ability to build the long range energy torpedoes that most human navies utilize. Aside from their highly advanced Plasma Cannons they do not possess the wide range of weapons that human navies may draw upon. Contact with the Phalon The Phalon Empire encountered the first Kharadorn vessel over two centuries ago. They were the first alien race the Kharadorn had encountered, and the Kharadorn were both shocked and disgusted at what they had discovered. The organic nature of the Phalon ships was repugnant to the Kharadorn. They immediately attacked and boarded the ship, capturing it. Contact with Humanity To date there have only been a handful of encounters with human ships and all were violent with no communication or quarter given. One attack on an FSE squadron resulted in boarding actions on several vessels. Unlike human troops, the Kharadorn prefer fighting hand to hand. Tactics Kharadorn fleets will usually open up with a missile barrage that is intended to soften up an enemy fleet in much the same way ground forces use artillery. After the initial bombardment, they will close as quickly as possible, doing as much damage as they can on the first firing pass. After they have gotten past the enemy lines they will use their superior speed to maintain positions behind the fleet. The fleet will often contain a frigate screen armed with Boarding Torpedoes. These torpedoes are typically manned by disgraced warriors, captured soldiers from rival clans, or criminals. Attrition in these units is extremely high, but if the boarders successfully carry out their mission, they are granted a reprieve and allowed back into Kharadorn society with honor.

4 Authors notes: The Kharadorn were originally created for the Cold Navy space combat game. They have been reproduced here for use with Full Thrust, and its background. A considerable amount of artistic license has been taken and therefore may not quite match up with what the creators of Cold Navy or Ravenstar Studios have done with them. *Note on the rules used: This fleet book was written with the Full Thrust: Project Continuum rules in mind. The carriers all have launch tubes/flight deck icons associated with the hangars. If your group does not use this rule feel free to disregard the launch tubes. *Kharadorn carriers mount their hangar bays away from the main hull and thus are not subject to the rules for critical hits to hangar bays. *Tips for printing these SSDs: These SSDs are formatted to fit on 5x8 index cards. To facilitate printing simply adjust the paper size on your printer and set it to print in landscape format.
