14 Ansible Configuration ansible.cfg The place for adjusting default settings based on your requirements Multiple alternative places for parameters and setting exists Typically, default settings are sufficient for most users Precedence order of Ansible configuration files (in this order): 1. ANSIBLE_CONFIG (an environment variable) 2. ansible.cfg (in the current directory) 3..ansible.cfg (in the home directory) 4. /etc/ansible/ansible.cfg (global ansible configuration) This lab uses ansible.cfg in scenario/project directory 15
