2 The history of S.C. Apă Canal S.A. Sibiu goes back as far as 1894, when the first facilities for water treatment and water supply were provided to the city. The city s sewerage network and wastewater treatment plant were set up in 1908 and have developed at the city s growth rate. The company was established as a joint stock company in 1998: SC APĂ CANAL SA SIBIU (ACS) In 2008, following the decision of The Intercommunity Development Association (IDA) Asociația de Apă Sibiu, SC Apă Canal SA Sibiu became the Regional Operator in Sibiu County South and Făgăraș town (Brașov County). The purpose of this decision was to implement regional investment projects regarding drinking water treatment/distribution and wastewater collection/treatment. IDA has 29 members.

3 Currently, the Company (ACS) provides services in the Municipalities of Sibiu and Făgăraș, the towns of Cisnădie, Avrig, Ocna Sibiului and Săliște, as well as the communes of Șelimbăr, Șura Mică, Șura Mare, Sadu, Cristian, Tilișca, Racovița, Poplaca and Rășinari, to a population of inhabitants. The average number of Company s employees is 770 and the Company revenue exceeded 65 million lei in The volume of raw water abstracted in 2013 was 32,6 millions cm. The average water consumption in the operating area was 161 l/capita/day/ in 2013, lower than the previous years, due to metering and tariff adjustment. The tariffs for water/sewerage services in the operating area of ACS is a low one compared to the prices in other Romanian counties (ranking 38 out of 40, at national level).

4 At present, SC Apă Canal SA Sibiu is implementing the EU financed project (SOP Environment 1) : Extension and Rehabilitation of the Water and Waste Water system in Sibiu and Brașov Counties, Romania in the following agglomerations: Sibiu - Şelimbăr, Cisnădie, Răşinari, Mohu, Avrig, Mârşa, Ocna Sibiului, Valea Secașelor and Făgăraş. The project value is : lei ( Euro). 11 works contracts and 4 service contracts are being implemented from 2011 until The benefits of this project are: - The average connection rate to the sewerage system: 99,6% - 99,7% of the population will be connected to the water distribution system

Apă Canal S.A. Sibiu intends to extend its operating area by undertaking the water and sewerage services in new localities and to provide to all of its clients safe and correct services. 2.AT Supervizare Lucrări Firma câştigătoare fiind SC LOUIS BERGER SRL Bucureşti Presently, the Company carries out procedures for initiating a new EU financed investment project, (SOP Environment 2) having an estimated works value of 110 million Euro, for the EU programming. 3.CL6 Extinderea şi reabilitarea reţelelor de apă şi canalizare din municipiul Sibiu şi comuna Şelimbăr - în curs de evaluare

During 2014 a tender procedure will be organized in order to award a service contract for the Asocierea elaboration of the SC Feasibility AECOM Study INGENIERIA and the Financing SRL-ESCALIA Application Form.
