Moreover, the pupils will not be expected to read all of the titles; we are merely providing some suggestions. KEY 1. Children s classics written in a straightforward prose style; accessible contemporary writing for children. 2. Children s classics and contemporary writing in a slightly more difficult prose style; works written for adults but suitable for some children. 3. Demanding: suitable for scholars and potential scholars and some good Common Entrance candidates. Termly book displays are held in the library and pupils visit these during their English lesson to browse or purchase books.
