1 Key Skills to be covered: History Taken from Taken from I know some things that happened to other people in the past. I understand how to put a few events or objects in order of when they happened. 6 In April 1961, Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space. He was in space for around 2 hours and then returned to Earth. He did not land on the Moon so the race had not yet been won. Place his picture on the timeline. Now give the children the sources for Valentina can they work out who she is?
