4 Map The giant spacebarge The Universe was flying through space, carrying its important cargo. This red strawberry slime delivery is the most important thing we ve ever done! said Captain Englebert proudly. He was talking on his computer to his destination, Spacebury s. Red strawberry slime is the thing that everybody in the galaxy likes most of all, replied a man in Spacebury s stockroom, and we re running out. We re desperate for you to get here so make sure nothing goes wrong this time! THE UNIVERSE BLACK HOLE The last time there was a cargo of strawberry slime, a purple alien with two arms, six eyes and 18,000 heads had attacked the spacebarge and eaten it. This time Captain Englebert was trying to hide it, but then he saw Private, one of his crew, carrying a jar of strawberry slime.

7 Put that back in the cargo bay! If we spill just one drop then the aliens will smell it and come to eat it all again! yelled Captain Englebert to Private. But I ve never had any, replied Private, and I just want to try it. Then the Private opened the jar and sniffed it. Private, I m demoting you to More Public! said Captain Englebert and he rushed to grab the strawberry slime jar, but he bumped into it and spilled a tiny drop. The Private, now ranked More Public, thought the Captain wanted to spread the slime around so he threw it all over the ship! Suddenly, some strawberry slime landed on the big red autopilot button. Autopilot off! announced The Universe s computer and the spacebarge started to wobble about. Help! yelled Captain Englebert. He was scared of pressing buttons, so he only ever used automatic hand driers in bathrooms and although his ship did have an autopilot, he couldn t press the button to switch it on. He and More Public decided it was time for panic stations, and so they hid in the Captain s wardrobe.

8 Try this, Fez, said AD Scorp to his assistant in his laboratory as he handed her a glass of blue slime. It may have side effects, he said as she drank it. Fez was suddenly covered in big spots and stripes and grew a third hand. OK, it definitely has side effects, decided AD Scorp and he gave Fez another drink called the Antigloat to turn her back to normal. AD Scorp smiled. When I get rid of the side effects, I ll replace them with a special hypnosis effect! Everyone who drinks it will fall under my spell and I will have a whole army of hypnotised helpers! Ha ha ha! Then he made Fez dance under his hypnotic spell.

10 Nearby at the zoo on Planet Rollerskates Petunia was visiting the animals. Please can I have some slime? asked a Cheetah. I love all slime, every flavour and colour. I ve never had any slime, replied Petunia, because I ve never been anywhere that has any. I want to be an explorer but I m a bit scared, so I ve only explored my own house and garden. I thought that if I came to the zoo then I d be near animals and that s a bit like exploring, so I got on a giant space ant and he carried me here. Then let s explore together! said the Cheetah. I can t carry you, but put your rollerskates on and I ll tow you! We ll just go to Spacebury s for slime and back! Petunia did want to explore so she got her skates on and off they went. Cheetah and Petunia sped down the road but when they arrived at the big Spacebury s they found it was closed. I m sorry, but we ve run out of slime, said the man in Spacebury s stockroom. We were waiting for a delivery of red strawberry slime but it s disappeared. I ll try some other stores for you.

11 They called up Spacebury s Morocco. Sorry but we re out of stock, they said, so they tried Spacebury s Australia who said G day, we re out of slime too. Finally they rang Spacebury s Thailand who sadly said It s terrible, it s all gone. Cheetah was very disappointed, but then he saw a spaceship fall from the sky and crash land onto the planet. He went off to help, while Petunia went to continue exploring. Why did no-one like the restaurant on the moon? it had no atmosphere!

12 Captain Englebert finally climbed out of his wardrobe and looked around. His spacebarge had crash landed onto a planet and nearby his crewmate, More Public, was looking up at the sky. Look Captain, he said, there s a beautiful blue sky everywhere except for above that laboratory, which is turning the sky grey. What could it be doing? Captain Englebert recognised where they were. This is Planet Rollerskates, home of Spacebury s, he said. We were carrying all of the red strawberry slime in the galaxy but it has all been destroyed in the crash, so we have to go and tell them. What is an astronaut s favourite key on a computer? the space bar! Meanwhile, AD Scorp was talking to the man in Spacebury s stockroom. Since you ve run out of red strawberry slime, he said, maybe you should sell my new blue slime? It s a bit stinky but it tastes great and has no side effects. The man in the stockroom decided stinky blue slime was better than no slime at all, so they filled the shelves. Seeing people buying his blue slime made AD Scorp very happy. He said Now they will be hypnotised and I can make them do whatever I want! but then he saw Captain Englebert w alk in to Spacebury s. He must have delivered some red strawberry slime, I ve got to find it! thought AD Scorp and he made a plan.

13 Please try a free sample of our new blue slime, said AD Scorp to Captain Englebert. The Captain had a drink and then he felt a bit wobbly straightaway. I said I d follow you, Captain, said More Public and he started to drink some blue slime too, but then Captain Englebert said Spit it out! and stopped him. It s hypnotic slime! More Public, this blue slime is a trick, you must replace it with red strawberry slime to save everyone, said Captain Englebert. Just then AD Scorp said Sleep! and everyone in Spacebury s fell asleep. Everyone, that is, except More Public who just pretended to be hypnotised. AD Scorp grabbed Captain Englebert and More Public and said Take me to the red strawberry slime! This way to all the red strawberry slime in the galaxy, said More Public, and he led them to The Universe. He didn t tell them that all the red strawberry slime had been destroyed when they crashed, so when they got to the spacebarge AD Scorp and Fez climbed inside.

14 Excuse me, did you say you have red strawberry slime? asked a voice. More Public looked down and saw the Cheetah who had come to help. No, it s all been destroyed, replied More Public, if only I knew how to turn stinky hypnotic blue slime into lovely red strawberry slime. I can do that, said Cheetah. I know all about slime, but we need a laboratory. More Public led Cheetah to the laboratory he had seen turning the sky grey earlier. It was AD Scorp s laboratory, and inside was all the remaining blue slime! They threw all of it into a black hole, then Cheetah found the last test tube of red slime and he ate it! Now watch, said Cheetah, and he coughed up twice as much. Then he ate all the new red slime, and made twice as much again. And again! Suddenly, More Public and Cheetah were surprised to see a very quiet big monster. Thank you! the monster whispered. When you threw away all the blue slime, you broke the hypnotic spell that AD Scorp put me and everyone else under. I am very big so I can carry all your new red strawberry slime to Spacebury s, and off they went.

15 Back on The Universe, AD Scorp and Fez had looked everywhere but they couldn t find any red strawberry slime. That s because we tricked you, it s all gone! yelled Captain Englebert who was also no longer hypnotised. Well done! said Captain Engelbert, I m going to promote you, and not just to your old rank of Private but above to Very Private! Now how shall we celebrate having red strawberry slime again? With this! said Petunia, running in. I ve explored all over Planet Rollerskates and I ve found a dinosaur that can fart fireworks! Hundreds of fireworks and rockets flew high into the air as everyone on Planet Rollerskates celebrated. But if the hypnotic spell has gone then all the blue slime must be gone too! cried Fez. AD Scorp started crying too as he said All I wanted was to give everyone slime! I thought if I hypnotised everybody then they could help me make it and there would be enough to go around. You don t need a hypnotised army to make more slime for you, you just need to ask animals nicely! said More Public who had just arrived. Thanks to a cheetah and a very quiet big monster, we ve just made an enormous delivery of red strawberry slime to Spacebury s! There s enough for everyone! AD Scorp and Fez helped to fix the spacebarge, and then Petunia joined Very Private and the crew so she could explore more places. The very quiet big monster helped throw The Universe back into space, and everyone, except Captain Englebert, pushed the big red autopilot button to set off on a new adventure.
