Portland Foreside is the site of the former Portland Company Complex. A company with local, state and national significance due to its role in reshaping the manufacturing process and its impact on the industrialization of the United States, specifically in the transportation field. The adaptive reuse of the 7 historic buildings, dating back to the 1840s, with ground floor retail will invigorate the neighborhood and provide a strong sense of place rooted in the masonry style and form of Portland s industrial past. Upper floors will be converted to truly unique office spaces and new structures as well as additions will augment the old with clear demarcations of the past while celebrating the new. 96
