2 If the radio cannot be removed as described above it may be installed with a universal mount, two spring-loaded clamping levers at the top of the unit (remove as described under B.) Radio (A2) single-module unit or radio control unit (A2/4, as of approx ) insert removal plates (1) and withdraw radio or radio control unit, insert. Push back retaining springs on removed radio and withdraw plates (1). Radios were installed in the initial phase without the side retaining springs. On these radios, the removal plates do not lock in place. Removal and installation can be accomplished as with the previous generation of radios. 4 On vehicles with speed-dependent volume control or with sound system ensure that the volume control (up to approx. June 87) or the coupling amplifier are converted when replacing the radio set.
