In this paper, IoT based pier collision monitoring system that is possible to respond rapidly by notifying automatically the relevant institutions and administrators in the event of an accident is suggested. This system in also possible to detect collision and to measure the state of the facility by sensor. Measured data is sent to gateway and server then stored, administrated. In this paper, an optimal collision detection and communication modules for pier collision monitoring system is developed. Pier collision monitoring system notifies automatically the accident of the relevant authorities and administrators, aslo checks temperature, impulse and the battery voltage in real time using a Web/App. With respect to the development of the above, data reception and reliability are tested by establishing a test-bed at the pier. Keywords: Pier, Buoy, collision, Monitoring, IoT 1 Introduction Collisions have accounted for 30% share of the total incidents of contact, stranding, rollover, etc. that occur in the marine. The most likely cause of this accident is the lack of rapid response and lack of safety. Marine accidents between the ships and marine facilities such as pier is led to a large-scale marine pollution causes serious problems to the company as well as to have an enormous environmental damage and loss of community and economy. To prevent such accidents, a variety of solutions for marine ships, such as the anti-collision monitoring system using the radar detection information and AIS information has been proposed. However, this solution is a rapid process not achieved because the system is not integrated. Solve this problem and for rapid incident response, developed the integrated pier collision monitoring system that reflects the following: Collisions recognition and analysis module using by sensor data. Immediate reporting system built upon accidents. Data collection for the causes of the accident analysis and management. Real-time monitoring using by Web/App ISSN: ASTL Copyright 2016 SERSC
2 The purpose of this study is the data analysis through the sensing, Ships collision recognition, and an alarm to the administrator immediately, in order to correspond to rapid incident through it. Also, real-time monitoring of facility by using web/app, to establish a safety management systems. 2 Development of IoT based pier collision monitoring system IoT based pier collision monitoring system is detection of a collision of ships by using acceleration data and slope data, automatically notify administrators when an accident can quickly respond, and Real-time information about the history of the facility can be found in smart phones and web. The system is consists of a collision detection module, communications modules, power supply modules and the ground integrated monitoring system. 2.1 Development of collision detection module Collision detection module is a module that operates to detect when a physical force is applied from the external. collision detection module is designed a system based on the MEMS-type three-axis acceleration sensor as shown in Figure 1 and 2, for production cost reduction. Determination of the amount of impact and collision of ships reference module is the MAX value and the RMS(Root Mean Square) value calculated by x,y, and z axes filtering each of the three axis acceleration sensor. And, the exponential data for the amount of impact more 100Hz improved the accuracy of the collision ships. Fig. 1 Collision Detection Module 2.2 Development of communications module Industrial fields the increasing demand for wireless communications technology, it is important the reliability and security, there is a need for application of a new wireless communication standard technology proposed by the standardization organizations, such as the ISA (International Society of Automation). 3 industrial wireless communication module of 2.4GHz applying the ISA100.11a standard technology that satisfies the high reliability and security(fig.2). This module is a communication module to support multiple protocol, is composed of a mesh network communication is made normally find the best path even if the abnormality occurs in the communication equipment of a particular stop. Communication Module 2.3 Development of power supply module In the case of pier collision monitoring system to be used in case the regular supply and stop using the power supply to the crash of the ships was built in battery power supply in case of emergency. Also, in addition to the acceleration data and the temperature data for the amount of impact detection it can be found in the state of the battery also in real time by monitoring the battery remaining amount. 2.4 Development of ground integrated monitoring system The system is detects an accident by a sensor installed in the facility, and it is possible to automatically notify the administrator. In addition, the message to the smartphone of the accident Manager passes through an app for Android-based OS was to allow administrators to take rapid action even in the field. And, normally, it is possible to facility management anytime, anywhere and at all times to check the impulse, temperature, battery status, and through smart devices.(fig.3,4) Fig. 3. Ground Integrated Monitoring System(WEP) 3 Build a test-bed For information on this research was to build a test bed to the pier in order to verify the practicality and applicability of the field. Explosion-protected product was installed a preparation for collision detection sensor of the ship based conflict detection and risk of explosion, using the LTE communication network was transmitting data wirelessly to the server. Measured Results 4 Conclusion The purpose of this development is to build a system safety management system integration and minimizes the accident and the damage spread in a rapid initial response when an accident occurs. IoT-based Pier collision monitoring system is that detects a collision of the notice of offshore structures and vessels and immediately notify administrators wirelessly using the acceleration data and the slope data. For the verification of the study, to build a test bed, and confirmed that the field applicability by the resultant. This research study on accident precaution in research on countermeasures after accidents and collisions of ships docks and piers also seems to be necessary. In contrast image acquisition devices (CCTV, cameras, etc.) to access the light buoy and ship pier by plans to further study and develop an automated system sounds an alarm when close to a certain distance. 152 Copyright 2016 SERSC
