32 Emergency Services Comments The Fire Services representative says the new trunking system has, for the first time, allowed individual fire services to communicate effectively with each other, at a tactical as well as strategic level. Areas previously without radio coverage now have effective communications through this medium. 5/6 February 2004 DMISA Slide 32
33 Non-emergency Services Comments The Electrical Workshop Manager says system has been used with good effect since its inception a couple of months ago. There has been a slow decline in cell phone usage. The coverage has been vastly improved from the old analogue systems. The staff are very happy with the radio system and the traffic on the air confirms that the radio is being used extensively. 5/6 February 2004 DMISA Slide 33
