The entire system is powered from one location for ease in wiring. 3 Basic system In this system Four rooms listen to the same audio program. Each room has independent volume controls. Using the option, you can control the components from any room. You can change the system input from FM to the D player, select another satellite radio station, or pause the D. Using the status option, the systems mutes and conserves power when the receiver is off. 4 WHT/ Advanced system Using the AB-30 as a local source input module Each room can listen to a different local source. The A inputs on the AB-30 will override the main input source, allowing each room to listen to a different local source. This will allow the T audio to be heard through the in-wall speakers controlled by the AB

5 by Advanced system Using the AB-30 as a universal input module In this system The first AB-30 is used to input the main audio source. The second AB-30 is used to input audio from a paging system. The AB-30 in each room 3 is used to input audio that will only be heard in that room s speakers. Using the option, you can control the components from any room. This is perfect for phone systems that provide a line level output for paging. Independent room inputs The AB-30 in each individual room will interrupt all audio sources coming from the main system inputs. This includes the audio from a paging system. The two potentiometers on the AB- 4 adjust the volume levels of each speaker channel. Use these to adjust the speaker balance this zone. Follow the color codes AB-4 Gasket... The AB-4 is shipped with a gasket. This allows you to adjust the height and fit of a Decora plate. eave the gasket as is for a flush fit. emove the gasket to have the AB-4 stand above the plate. Not a big deal... The J- 45 jacks are wired to the TIA 568A standard. If you use the TIA-568B standard, left and right channels will be reversed. Option... Use AT-5 jack to terminate cable from and standard AT-5 jumpers to connect. Option... The AB-4 may be wired using either the 0 or the J-45 connectors. D By AB-4 IN Input/Output... To simplify installation,the AB-30 has both 0 OUT and J-45 inputs and outputs. Only one of the inputs and one of the outputs should be used at a time. Gasket... The AB-30 is shipped with a gasket. This allows you to adjust the height and fit of a Decora plate. eave the gasket as is for a flush fit. emove the gasket to have the AB-30 stand above the plate. Option... To add more zones, connect slave s as shown. Each requires a separate power supply (ABT-454) and will support another four keypads. You may have up to four s in a system.
