2 2 of Static ports Dispatch with ports at one side inoperative Take-off: With the static ports capped at one side, compensation for slip and crosswind conditions (take-off and landing) is not available. The indication error may be as large as plus/minus 2 knots. To ensure speed safety margins and to guarantee runway length performance requirements the following is required. Landing: For the prevailing conditions, determine the maximum allowable take-off weight limited by runway length and obstacle clearance. Subtract 3200 kg (7056 lb) to obtain the new maximum allowable take-off weight limited by runway length and obstacle clearance, resulting in at least 4 knots lower take- off speeds. The actual take-off weight must be less than or equal to the lowest of the weight found in step 2, the climb limited take-off weight and the maximum structural takeoff weight. Determine the planned take-off speeds for the actual take-off weight applying the same V 1 /V R and V 2 /V S ratio as in step 1 and increase them by 2 knots. The speeds affected are V 1, V R, V 2, V FR and V FTO. The EFIS indications V MA, V FR and green dot speed may be too low and a 2 knots higher should be used. For the prevailing conditions, determine the maximum allowable landing weight limited by runway length. Subtract 3200 kg (7056 lb) to obtain the new maximum allowable weight limited by runway length, resulting in at least 4 knots lower landing speeds. The actual landing weight must be less than or equal to the lowest of the weight found in step 2, the approach climb limited landing weight and the maximum structural landing weight. Determine the planned landing speeds for the actual landing weight increase them by 2 knots. The speeds affected are V REF and V APP. The EFIS indication V MA may be 2 knots too low. If applicable, increase MDA/DH with 30 ft ADC temperature probe Dispatch with an ADC temperature probe inoperative The FCC in command is the source for the TAT/SAT display at MFDS and for the computation of the max EPR for the selected thrust rating. To ensure that the FCC on the side of the failed ADC temperature probe is NOT in command act as follows: If the left ADC temperature probe is inoperative:
3 3 of 12 Before take-off: AT OFF Check AT ON Check air conditioning pack ON If the right ADC temperature probe is inoperative: Before take-off: AT OFF Check AT ON Check air conditioning pack ON 26-2 EFIS control panels Dispatch with an EFIS control panel inoperative MFDS alert: L(R) EFIS CTL PNL Upon an EFIS panel failure the EFIS defaults to: LH EFIS CTL PNL failure: RH EFIS CTL PNL failure: QNH; ROSE/APP; VOR info not available; ADF info available. QNH; MAP/30 nm range; VOR info not available; ADF info not available; Weather radar not available. Note: vor 2 can be remotely tuned via the fms prog page. Because MDA/DA/DH cannot be set approach capability is degraded to CAT I only. When passing transition altitude select 1013 mb (29.92 in/hg) at the relevant ASP. When passing transition level select QNH QNH, STD Dispatch with QNH/STD selection failed in the QNH position When passing transition altitude select 1013 mb (29.92 in/hg) at the relevant ASP. When passing transition level select QNH Inertial Reference System (IRS) Dispatch with at least one IRU in NAV and the other(s) in ATT mode Select the affected IRU in ATT. Insert magnetic heading via ISDU. During flight synchronize magnetic heading on affected side (via ISDU) with magnetic heading information from standby compass and non-affected side approximately every 15 minutes, or when a comparator alert is generated.
4 4 of 12 AT speed tracking performance may be inaccurate Dispatch with one IRS in ATT mode or inoperative Note: irs 3 in triple irs configuration may be inoperative for gnss operation. If GNSS is not required for the intended route: FMS NAV SOURCE RADIO If GNSS is required for the intended route: IRS 2 must be operative in NAV mode. Use AP 2 (if required) Radio altimeters Dispatch with one radio altimeter inoperative, pre-sb If RA 1 is inoperative: LH RA SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE LH FCC SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE STAB TRIM OFF NOTE: AP 1 cannot be engaged GPWS OFF If RA 2 is inoperative: RH RA SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE RH FCC SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE STAB TRIM OFF Note: Ap 2 Cannot Be Engaged Landing weather minima are affected. Dispatch with one radio altimeter inoperative, post-sb If RA 1 is inoperative: LH RA SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE LH FCC SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE STAB TRIM OFF NOTE: AP 1 cannot be engaged If RA 2 is inoperative: RH RA SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE RH FCC SOURCE SELECT ALTERNATE STAB TRIM OFF NOTE: AP 2 cannot be engaged Landing weather minima are affected.
5 5 of Global Positioning System (GPS) Dispatch with one or both GNSS sensors inoperative 1) RNAV/RNP (Post SB ) If GNSS is not required for the intended route: FMS NAV SOURCE RADIO If GNSS is required for the intended route: GNSS 2 must be operative. Use AP 2 (if required). For remote/oceanic operation: Crosscheck FMC positions once every hour. If required, perform manual position update of FMS 1. 2) ADS-B (Post SB ) If ADS-B is required for the intended route: XPDR NON-AFFECTED SIDE SELECT 61-1 Flight Management System (FMS) Dispatch with one or both FMSs inoperative without integrated GNSS navigation system, Pre SB Non-available services at the affected side(s): PLAN and MAP modes; FPV; ILS-DME distance at the PFD (see NOTE); NAV and PROF modes; Ground speed and wind data. Note: to display ils-dme distance on rmi(s) tune vor receiver(s) to the required ils frequency. In case FMS 1 is inoperative, in order to enable NAV and/or PROF mode during flight: Before take-off do not arm NAV and PROF (to prevent AFCAS MODE alert). After take-off, if NAV and/or PROF mode required, select AP2 before selecting NAV and/or PROF mode. Select LH EFIS to ALTN FCC.
