3 RD GENERATION BE HEARD AND HEAR, LOUD AND CLEAR The ultimate voice and communications solution, MaxxVoice is a suite of state-of-the-art technologies created by Waves Audio, recipient of a 2011 Technical GRAMMY award. MaxxVoice provides cutting-edge input processing for intelligible, noise-free conversation, plus speaker enhancement and level maximization, for the cleanest sound you ve ever experienced from a personal device.

Based on the same Waves processors used in recording studios, mastering rooms and post production facilities the world over, MaxxVoice features innovative directional and adaptive background noise reduction, advanced echo cancellation, intelligent volume and dynamics controls and more, so you can be heard and hear, loud and clear. The MaxxVoice 3rd generation brings forth the best in line of Waves intricate processors for voice enhancement on Consumer devices. Utilizing over 20 years of knowledge from the recording and broadcast industries, MaxxVoice not only provides sophisticated noise reduction tools, but also precise algorithms for input-signal improvement and clarity proving to be the ultimate voice enhancement package in the consumer market. MaxxVoice 3rd generation addresses the latest use cases by including orientation support for flexible microphone placement, pre-beam EQ for precise signal input, stereo echo cancelation for multimedia playback and auto beam steering for natural user position during VoIP conversations. MaxxVoice 3rd generation offers OEMs and ultimately their end-users a new standard in communications. FEATURES MaxxBeam Microphone-Array Noise Suppression MaxxNR State-of-the-Art Noise Reduction MaxxEC Stereo Echo Cancellation MaxxEQ Paragraphic Equalizer MaxxVolume All-in-One Dynamics Control DeEsser Sibilant Sound Attenuation DeKey Keyboard Noise Attenuation

MICROPHONE-ARRAY NOISE SUPPRESSION MaxxBeam directional noise reduction for integrated microphones overcomes the challenges of noisy environments to capture crystal-clear, intelligible voice signals. Based on microphone-array technology, MaxxBeam differentiates between the desirable signals inside the beam and undesirable sounds outside of it, suppressing both stationary and non-stationary noise from outside the beam. MaxxBeam s Auto Beam feature is a non-static, directionality steering function which enables the beam to track and locate the main speech source, giving users the freedom and flexibility to communicate anywhere and everywhere through their device. Honing in not just on the speaker, Auto Beam also controls the width and scope of the beam automatically, gradually adjusting to the user s position and focusing in on their voice to deliver a clear, pure signal. Narrow Beam Wide Beam Directional Beam EC STEREO ECHO CANCELLATION MaxxEC is a true full-duplex echo canceller that utilizes proprietary algorithms originally developed for the music and post production industries to reduce echo leak and room reverberation, without adding processing artifacts that can make voices sound unnatural. MaxxEC Automatic Rate Conversion supports non-matching near/far end inputs while maintaining CPU power-saving performance. Thanks to MaxxEC, conversations sound like they should, with the focus on primary voice signals. PARAGRAPHIC EQUALIZER MaxxEQ is a full spectrum 10-band equalizer which makes it easy to customize the voice input performance of any device, frequency by frequency. MaxxEQ gives you the power to design EQ curves and shape frequency response with accuracy and ease, using programmable bell, shelf, low pass and high pass filters plus adjustable frequency, gain and Q parameters. MaxxVoice V3

ALL-IN-ONE DYNAMICS CONTROL To optimize the performance of the small microphones used in portable devices, Waves configured the MaxxVolume all-in-one dynamics processor especially for input signals. Using a powerful combination of high level compression, low level compression, gating and leveling, MaxxVolume ensures a strong, steady voice input to your microphone, for clear, intelligible communications. SIBILANT SOUND ATTENUATION When it comes to reducing excess sibilance ( ess and shh sounds), nothing compares to MaxxVoice DeEsser, which painstakingly analyzes the frequencies of the sibilance, and then removes only those sounds. The result: Reduced hissing sounds, leaving room for cleaner, more detailed, more pleasant voice signals. KEYBOARD NOISE ATTENUATION Communicating directly with your device s OS, DeKey isolates and eliminates keyboard sounds during VoIP calls, without affecting voice signals. DeKey understands that not all clicks are the same, and it constantly adapts to its input, so conversations are clearer, while clandestine typing goes unnoticed. Detect Keyboard Clicks in Signal Remove Clicks Operating System Event MaxxVoice V3

STATE-OF-THE-ART NOISE REDUCTION Maxx NR noise reduction adapts to and eliminates background noises, for clearer vocal signals. Based on the Waves WNS Noise Suppressor plugin originally engineered for professional audio post production facilities, MaxxNR uses adaptive multi-band dynamics with zero latency and no phase distortion, resulting in transparent, natural sound. By automatically analyzing the input signal, MaxxNR determines which frequency ranges contain undesirable background noise, and dynamically processes these ranges alone, effectively reducing ambient and environmental sounds. Microphone Input SNR Multi-Band Estimator Noise Reduction Output Real-Time e VAD SNR Estimator Adaptive Filter Band Control Side-Chain ORIENTATION SUPPORT MaxxVoice is equipped to respond in real-time to the latest use cases in the PC market, allowing users the flexibility to converse from a variety of positions as well as a variety of device angles and placements. Perfected for detachable, transformer and tablet models, MaxxVoice communicates directly with the device s motion detection sensor, receiving real-time data and automatically adapting to its configurations. With support for both 3 Microphone L-Array and 2*2 Mic Array configurations, MaxxVoice is sensitive to the environmental orientation of device sensors, constantly monitoring motion-detection API and adapting accordingly. MaxxVoice orientation support provides an easy, turn-key solution for all mic placement and support use cases, with no need for end-user involvement. MaxxVoice V3
