This professional mixer is ideal for live music and DJ performances, recording, and as part of a mobile or fixed PA system. The powerful, built-in amplifier means that you don't have to lug a separate power amplifier from gig to gig. 6 1) MONO / You can connect balanced, low impedance microphones or a low level signal to the X socket. On the 1/" jack you can connect either a microphone or a line level instrument, such as synthesizers, drum machines, effect processors, or any other line level. WANING: Do not connect an unbalanced microphone to the X socket! Doing so could damage both the mic and the mixer. Also, it is not possible to simultaneously use both the & inputs on the same channel, use only one of them for the appropriate source. ) STEEO INPUTS These inputs are configured as stereo pairs using 1/" balanced TS jacks. Use the left channel if connecting a mono signal. 3) INSET JACKS Each of these jacks provides an insert point between the equalizer and level control of the corresponding input channel. The INSET jacks can be used to independently connect devices, such as graphic equalizers, compressors, or noise filters, into the corresponding channels. These are unbalanced 1/" TS jacks that carry both the send and return signals. ) GAIN CONTO Adjusts the input signal level. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the gain; counterclockwise to decrease gain.to achieve the best balance between S/N and dynamic range, adjust the level so that the peak ED indicator lights occasionally only on the highest input transients. For mono channels, the input adjustment range of the Gain is to and the sensitivity of the line input is -3 to + ; For stereo channels, the adjustment range of the Gain is to and the sensitivity of the line input is - to +. ) OW CUT By pressing this button you will activate a 7Hz low frequency filter with a slope of 18 per octave. You can use this feature to reduce AC line induced hum/noise or stage rumble when using a microphone. 6) CONTO Adjusts the amount of compression applied to the channel. Turn the knob to the right to increase the compression. The output gain will automatically adjusted. When Phantom Power is on the console provides +8V to all six X sockets to power condenser microphones. Do not use Phantom Power with any device that does not require it. 7 3) FX TO This control is used to assign the signal from FX to the SEND output. 31) POGAM (PUSH) Use this knob to select the desired effect for the mix. There are a total of 1 effects, with 1 variations for each of the 1 basic effects. Basic effects include Echo, Echo+Verb, Tremolo, Plate, Chorus, Vocal, otary, Small oom, Flange+Verb, and arge Hall. When you have selected the desired effect, push the knob to store the selection. 3) DIGITA EFFECTS DISPAY Displays the number of the selected effect preset. 33) PHANTOM ED This ED indicates when phantom power is switched on. 3 PW ED This ED indicates when the mixer is powered on. 3) TK IN / TK OUT TK IN Use the TK IN input to connect a tape deck, CD player, or other similar audio source device. This input can be assigned to either the Control oom output or the Main Mix. You can assign the signal coming from the Tape ecorder either to a pair of studio monitor using the control room assignment on the front panel or you can also send the signal directly to the Main Mix. TK OUT The TK OUT output sends the Main Mix to an external device, such as a tape or digital recorder. 36) MAIN MIX OUTPUT This stereo output features balanced X and 1/" TS connectors. The Main Mix output is typically routed to an amplifier. 37) ST ETUNS These 1/" TS jacks are typically used to return the stereo signal from an effects device back into the Main Mix. They can also be used as additional auxiliary inputs. 38) CT-OOM These 1/" TS jacks are used to send the signal out to studio monitor speakers or to a second amplifier. 39) FOOT SWITCH Use this 1/" TS jack to connect an external foot pedal for an alternate method of toggling on/off. 7) UAIZE This is the treble control. You can use it to get rid of high frequency noises or to boost the sound of cymbals or the high harmonics of the human voice. The gain range goes from - to +, with a center frequency of 1kHz. MID This is the mid range control. It can affect most fundamental frequencies of all musical instruments and human voice. An attentive use of this control will give you a very wide panorama of sound effects. The range goes from - to +, with a center frequency of.khz. OW This is the bass control. It can affect low frequency sounds, such as male voice, kick drum, or bass guitar. The range goes from - to +, with a center frequency of 8Hz. 8) These controls are used to adjust the level of the signal sent to the buses. Their adjustable range is from ) PE/ Each channel is equipped with a PE/ button. When in the PE position, the signal is sent directly to the output, bypassing the fader. When in the position, the fader controls the signal level. 1) / These controls are used to adjust the level of the FADE signal sent to the () SENDS output, which can be used for monitor applications, as well as effects & sound processor inputs. 11) / BA CONTO For mono inputs, the control determines the position of the signal in the stereo soundstage. 8 13) Each channel is equipped with a button. When is active, the audio signal on the channel is sent directly to the CT and Headphones outputs and to the output level meter, bypassing the fader. When is off, the channel's output level is affected by the fader. 1) PEAK ED This ED illuminates when the peak level of the post- signal reaches 3 below clipping. For the X-equipped stereo input channels, both the post- and postmic-amp signals are monitored and the ED illuminates if either of these signals reaches 3 below clipping. ) G1- Each channel is equipped with a G1- button.
