3 ITU R Publication Related to Space Radio Monitoring ITU R Resolution: RESOLUTION ITU R 23 3 Extension of the International Monitoring System to a worldwide scale. Res. ITU R 23 is included in provisions of RR Article 16 International monitoring; In the resolves part Cooperation and exchange of monitoring information between monitoring stations concerning space station emissions in order to settle the harmful interference is encouraged. Promote the establishment of monitoring stations and make them available for international monitoring, in accordance with Article 16 of the RR; RES/en 14/06/2016 3

ITU R SM International monitoring system Included in provisions of RR Article 16 (but not incorporated by reference) Recommends 7: administrations shall make every effort to arrange for monitoring observations (see Annex 1) to be submitted to the Radiocommunication Bureau as soon as possible Annex 1: Reports of international monitoring of emissions (Section II. Reports Concerning Stations in the Space Radiocommunication Services) Rec. ITU R SM Monitoring of Radio Emissions From Spacecraft At Monitoring Stations Administrations when utilize the frequency bands allocated for satellite servicesshouldtakeinto account the need for monitoring Administrations are encouraged to cooperate so that appropriate monitoring can be obtained with a minimum number of monitoring stations REC SM/en 14/06/2016 5
