1 Low Group Delay, Wide Bandwidth UHF Slot Antennas Omni-directional and Directional Patterns Available Low RFR Models Available Top or Side Mount Models Horizontal, Elliptical, or Circular Polarization Available Up to a 5 kw Input Rating 4 to 16 Bay Models 7 and 8 MHz Band Slot Antennas Micronetixx Communications build a complete line of slot antennas for 7 and 8 MHz band for mobile television and public safety applications. These low group delay antennas delivery the best possible signal over a 6 to 12 MHz bandwidth. They are available in a true Omni-directional pattern, and a number of directional azimuth patterns. Elliptical and Circular polarized models are available. There are two types of feed points for these antennas. The end fed antennas are available from 4 to 9 bays in one bay increments and in center fed models from 8 to 16 bays. The center fed antenna models are built in two bay increments. The input power ratings of these antennas are between 7.5 kw and 5 kw. Low RFR and broadband models are also available.
2 Standard Spaced UHF Slot Antennas Micronetixx Communications builds end fed and center fed slot antennas for the 7 and 8 MHz bands. These antennas are standing wave pylons, which provides excellent horizontal, elliptical or circular polarization performance. For applications needing a small bay count antenna, an end fed model will provide great performance up to about 9 Bays. The antennas are built in one bay increments from 4 bays to 9 bays. For 7 MHz applications, the Omni-directional and Omnioid patterns are the most popular. The antennas can also be furnished in a wide range of standard and custom patterns. For larger bay count antennas, or multi-channel antennas, we offer a center fed model up to 16 bays. These antennas are fed via a center mounted EIA flange. For the best linearity across a channel, the center fed models offer the lowest beam sway or amplitude difference at band edges. There are no external cables or power dividers on our antennas. The picture below shows the feed point of a center fed antenna model. There are no external cables or power dividers on our antennas. The picture below shows the feed point of a center fed antenna model, with a 7.5 kw input power rating, using a 3-1/8 EIA flange. Higher power models use either a 4-1/16 or 6-1/8 EIA flange. The antenna in the picture produces an wide cardioid pattern.
3 Low RFR UHF Slot Antennas Micronetixx Communications offers an innovative low RFR slot antenna, excellent for many 7 and 8 MHz band services. These low RFR antennas decrease the high axial angle radiation by up to 25 db (as compared to similar sized standard spaced antennas), making them ideal for rooftop or mounting on short towers. In addition to the greatly reduced RFR performance, these antennas have a 12 to 18% higher unit elevation gain than standard slot antennas. The elevation plot below compares two 8 bay elevation patterns a standard slot antenna in RED, and a low RFR antenna in BLUE. The 8 bay standard antenna has an elevation gain of 8.2 (9.14 db), while the low RFR antenna has an elevation gain of 9.45 (9.75 db). Both antennas have 1 degree of electrical beam tilt The low RFR antennas can be built with circular, elliptical, or horizontal polarization. The element to element spacing used in our low RFR antennas, ensures a tight polarization ratio across the channel.

This pattern would be ideal for applications mounted at 4 to 8 feet AGL Low RFR Antenna 1 Bay Elevation Pattern 1. Degree Beam Tilt Gain is 1.8 (1.3 db) The 1 bay pattern above has extended null fill, making it excellent for urban or mountainous areas, The pattern produces at least 15% of field down to 18. degrees. The low RFR pattern produces less than 2.% of peak field from - 65 to 9 degrees. The low field values at high depression angles allows great flexibility in mounting locations, while staying within RFR density safety levels.

7 7 MHz Band Antenna Mounting Options Side Mount Antennas All side mount 7/8 MHz band antennas come with custom designed, stainless steel mounting brackets. The antenna and mount can be ruggedized for up to 13 M.P.H. (29 K.P.H.) wind zones. Top Mount Antennas Top mounted versions of the 7/8 MHz antennas can be supplied with either a flange or bury mount section. Small top mount antennas up to 6 bays are also available in lightweight aluminum. Circular Polarized Omni-directional 7 MHz Band Need a 7/8 MHz Band Antenna? The 7/8MHz band antennas from Micronetixx Communications deliver the best wideband, low group delay signal to your viewers. Each 7/8 MHz band antenna is built to the specifications needed to give you the best coverage. There is never an extra charge for custom beam tilt and null fill modifications. 7 Commercial Street Lewiston, Maine 424 V (C) 211 Micronetixx Communications LLC
