Unit 3: Introduction of advance Microprocessor Intel 8086 Microprocessor architecture, Addressing modes, 8086 pin configuration and function of each pin programming using Data movement instructions, Arithmetic and logic instructions, Program control instructions interrupt instructions, operation of real mode and protected mode interrupt, interrupt flag bits, Hardware interrupts. Unit-4: MODERN OPTICS: Geometrical Optics : Ray sketching, y-u trace, y-nu trace, cardinal points of lens, chromatic aberrations, third-order aberrations, analysis of optical systems, aberration correction techniques. Fourier Optics : Fourier Analysis, Convolution Theory, Fourier transforming in lens systems, Frequency analysis of imaging systems, Coherent and incoherent imaging, Spatial filtering and optical information processing. Modulators: Crystal optics, Electro-optic effect, Acousto-optic effect; application of these effects in optical modulators.
