1 AK8779A Hall Effec IC for Pulse Encoders 1. General Descripion The AK8779A is a Hall effec lach which deecs boh verical magneic field and horizonal magneic field (perpendicular and parallel o he marked side of he package) a he same ime. The pulse oupu F and he direcion oupu D are swiched according o he verical and horizonal magneic fields applied o he device. The direcion is calculaed inernally and oupu D is swiched on a rising or falling edge of oupu F. The AK8779A is for use in he incremenal pulse encoders or roaional deecion sysems. 2. When he magneic field is reduced below BrpV, he inernal signal A goes H (OFF).
