Cursor keys The desred module s selected by pressng the cursor keys (left, rght, top, bottom). Input keys (fre keys) The selected module s started by pressng one of the three nput keys (fre keys). 57

Help, System Setup and Informaton (INFO) You can use the softkeys HELP, SYSTEM SETUP (the general system setup) and INFO at the bottom of the screen to call up basc nformaton on the VIBROPORT Lcensng You can retrospectvely purchase and nstall modules on your VP-80. Modules whch are not yet nstalled have a gray background. In the ntal mask, go to the module that you wsh to nstall. Press one of the three fre keys. An nput wndow opens Enter the lcense number provded by B&K Vbro. Confrm the nput wth OK. The followng module descrptons refer to the complete, lcensed functonalty. 58

7.5 Module overvew Pctogram Descrpton of the module Overalls The Overalls Module allows you to analyze the overall condton of a machne and compare t to the lmt values accordng to DIN ISO or the manufacturer s data and emprcal values, for example. A sngle overall can provde nformaton on the overall condton of a machne, enablng a basc condton assessment to be carred out easly and effcently. In addton to the vbraton overalls, overalls for assessng the rollng-element bearng condton (BCUp, ECUp) can also be recorded and evaluated. Up to four measurng channels plus speed are avalable. Each measurng channel has two dgtal sgnal processng paths A and B. Several measurements can thus be performed n parallel. In addton, the Overalls Module supports measurement and recordng of overalls as a functon of speed f(n) or as a functon of tme f(t). 59

FFT-Analyzer The FFT-Analyzer Module allows you to break down an overall vbraton (mxture of vbratons) nto ts ndvdual harmonc components. Dfferent spectral lnes are determned wth ther own specfc frequency and ampltude. In relaton to the overalls BCUp and ECUp for the rollng-element bearng condton t s possble to calculate the envelope spectra BCS and SED, n whch the ampltudes at characterstc fault frequences correspond to the degree of damage of a component or bearng. In smple terms, the ampltude therefore stands for the degree of damage and the frequency for the damaged component. Faults such as mbalance, transmsson damage, poor algnment or rollng-element bearng damage can thus be dagnosed relably. Pctogram Descrpton of the module 60

Pctogram Descrpton of the module Balancer The majorty of vbraton problems on machnes can be traced back to rotor mbalances. The Balancer Module allows you to balance nstalled rotors (feld balancng). Ths means no dsassembly or transport of the rotor, consderaton of the nstallaton stuaton and balancng rrespectve of the sze and weght of the rotor. For better orentaton durng the executon of balancng, you can choose between a clear representaton of the balancng process n table form or ndvdual measurng masks (polar plots, numerc dsplay wth bar graph). In addton to basc 1-/2-plane feld balancng (statc/dynamc), the module offers 1-/2-plane balancng wth prognoss, 2-plane balancng wth just one vbraton sensor and free selecton of the correcton method: polar, components, fxed weght. 61

Pctogram Descrpton of the module Trackng Trackng s carred out durng operaton of the machne and serves to analyze the rotor frequency-nduced vbraton components and ther harmoncs wth speed varaton. The Trackng measurng module can be utlzed for both run-up and coast-down of the machne. The raw vbraton sgnal and the speed are recorded durng run-up and coast-down. Up to three measurng channels plus speed are supported. After the measurement, you can defne n a setup whch method you wsh to use to evaluate respectvely to post-process the recorded sgnals. As the raw vbraton sgnal s avalable, you can repeat the analyss as often as you lke wth dfferent setups. The results of ths so-called post-processng can be vewed usng Bode, Nyqust, FFT waterfall, spectrogram or table vew optons. Tme Sgnal The Tme Sgnal Module enables the user to record a raw sgnal and save t n a standard fle format (.wav). Ths format permts subsequent post-analyss by, for example, the Report & EXamner software or MatLabTM. Up to 4 vbraton nput channels or 3 vbraton nput channels plus a speed reference are supported. 62

Acceptance Test The Acceptance Test Module can be used for qualty nspectons n batch producton (fnal acceptance), for example. It compares recorded overalls wth lmt values establshed by DIN ISO 10816, for example. The module also allows you to draw on predefned or personally defned measurng tasks (format templates for the measurng procedure). Up to 64 frequency bands n the frequency range and 8 alarm levels are supported. The alarm levels are color-coded for a better overvew. Pctogram Descrpton of the module Transfer Functon The Transfer Functon Module enables you to carry out structural tests on machnes wth shafts that are not rotatng and to analyze mmovable objects such as, e.g. foundatons or frameworks. The transfer functon s determned usng an mpact hammer wth bult-n load sensor, and s gven by the rato between the nput sgnal (load ntroduced by the hammer hts) and the output sgnal (measured vbraton), whch s shown n the form of a Bode dagram. The coherence of the measurement s also dsplayed; ths s a measure of a largely lnear sgnal transmsson, free from nterference. In addton to the most well-known transfer functons such as stffness or moblty, four further nput sgnal to output sgnal ratos are also avalable to the user. The acquston of up to three vbraton measurng channels (mpulse responses) are also supported. 63

Pctogram Descrpton of the module System Setup In the System Setup you can defne the most mportant global system parameters of the VIBROPORT 80, such as the system of unts or the tme, for example. Sensor Setup In the Sensor Setup you can look at the settngs for the sensors predefned n the measurng modules (Brüel & Kjaer Vbro sensors). You can also select or defne sensors for the entre system here. These are then avalable to you n all setups wthn the modules wth the specfcatons whch you have defned. Ths permts the ntegraton and effcent use of sensors from other manufacturers. 64
