1 9.35 LEE COUNTY SYSTEM SUMMARY Lee County has a type 4, E System consisting of 4 Primary and 1 Secondary PSAPs CAPE CORAL POLICE DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP The City of Cape Coral has a Primary PSAP located at the Public Safety building serving the incorporated city area of the City of Cape Coral. All law enforcement, fire and rescue calls will be handled at this center by direct dispatch. Calls requiring ambulance service will be transferred to the Secondary PSAP Lee Control FORT MYERS POLICE DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP The City of Fort Myers has a Primary PSAP located at the police department serving the incorporated city area of the City of Fort Myers. All law enforcement calls will be handled by direct dispatch. Calls requiring fire, rescue, and ambulance will be transferred to the Secondary PSAP Lee Control SANIBEL POLICE DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP The City of Sanibel has a Primary PSAP located at the police department serving the incorporated city area of Sanibel Island. All law enforcement calls will be handled by direct dispatch. Calls requiring fire, rescue, and ambulance will be transferred to the Secondary PSAP Lee Control LEE CONTROL FIRE/EMS SECONDARY PSAP Lee County Public Safety has a Secondary PSAP located at the Lee County Emergency Dispatch Center (EDC) serving all of Lee County including the incorporated for EMS ambulance calls. All fire and rescue related calls are one button transferred from the Primary PSAP to the Secondary Lee Control PSAP with the exception of the City of Cape Coral SYSTEM MANAGEMENT The Lee County E System is managed by the Lee County Division of Public Safety through the E Program Manager. The responsible fiscal agent is the Lee County Board of County Commissioners INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS Lee County has selective routing thereby eliminating all central office overlaps. Therefore, there is no specific requirement for an inter-local agreement. 2
