This relocation is a continuation of the back end process relocation to TT electronics, Mexicali in Page 1 of 3

2 Reason for Change Implementation Plan Customer Impact The relocation helps mitigate rising production costs for the Thickfilm Product Line Series. TT electronics will build 3 months of safety stock through December 31, Dual site capability, dual site safety stock build, training and validation will be established in Mexicali prior to the Corpus disconnect date. Corpus will temporarily retain process capability for key processes throughout the move as risk mitigation. Dual site capability and dual site safety stock build in Mexicali and Corpus minimize risk for this transfer. On January 4, 2017, equipment will be disconnected and relocated to Mexicali. TT electronics will conduct product validation in Mexicali as per AEC - Q200 REV D specifications and requirements. TT electronics will notify customers via PCN-2016-RBU04. The 3 month safety stock, dual site capability, standardized training and integrated Program Management teams will prevent any supply chain disruptions to the customer. 5 Project Description PCN is the relocation of the front end Thickfilm processes from TT electronics IRC, Corpus Christi to TT electronics IRC, Mexicali. This relocation is a continuation of the back end Thickfilm process relocation to TT electronics IRC, Mexicali in 2015 as part of Phases 1 & 2. The project is in Execution phase and both sending and receiving sites are developing their schedule of deliverables and action items. The ultimate intended outcome of the project is to transfer Thickfilm (Product Line) to Mexicali with absolute minimum interruption to our customers within our timeline and on budget. Project has been initially announced in June of Sending and Receiving teams have been kicked off to deliver a quality transition. 2

14 High Current Jumper Chip LRZ Series Make Possible Application Notes Conventional thick film zero-ohm jumper chips typically have up to 50m resistance values and 1 to 2A current ratings. LRZ jumper chips offer a solution for currents over an order of magnitude greater by combining lower resistance values with better thermal conductivity. Care should be taken when designing the associated printed circuit board tracks to ensure that they can carry the required current without excessive heating, for example by using multiple layers thermally linked with many vias. Any temperature rise caused by power dissipated in the PCB tracks themselves should be allowed for when calculating the ambient temperature in order to determine whether power de-rating should be applied. The minimum recommended pad and trace areas close to the resistor stated under Electrical Data should be provided at each terminal. For multi-layer PCB s, this minimum area requirement should be met by surface layers rather than buried layers. The actual solder pad area follows the normal design rules for chip resistors. LRZ jumper chips themselves can operate at a maximum temperature of 150 C (see performance above). For conventionally soldered jumper chips, the joint temperature should not exceed 110 C. This condition is met when the stated current levels at 70 C are used. 21 High Voltage Chip Resistors HVC Series Make Possible Application Notes HVC resistors are ideally suited for handling by automatic methods due to their rectangular shape and the small dimensional tolerances. Electrical connection to a ceramic substrate or to a printed circuit board can be made by reflow or wave soldering of wrap-around terminations. Wrap-around terminations provide good leach properties and ensure reliable contact. Due to the robust construction, the HVC can be immersed in the solder bath for 30 seconds at 260 C. This enables the resistor to be mounted on one side of a printed circuit board and wire-leaded components applied on the other side. 23 Low Value 3W Chip Resistors LRF3W Series Make Possible Construction Patented non-noble copper based thick film material, overglaze and organic protection are screen printed on a 96% alumina substrate. The components are laser trimmed to achieve the required resistance tolerance. Terminations The wrap-around terminations have an electroplated nickel barrier and matte tin finish, this ensures excellent leach resistance properties and solderability. Chips can withstand immersion in solder at 250 C for 90 seconds and are suitable for reflow or wave soldering mounting applications. Marking The body protection and marking are resistant to all normal industrial cleaning solvents suitable for printed circuits. Chips are packed and mounted with marking side up.
