High-Pass Filter Control Adjuststhehigh=passfiltercornerfrequencybetween20Hzand200Hzatarolloffrateof12dBperoctave. Whenturnedfullycounterclockwise,thiscontrolisintheOFFpositionandhasnoeffectonthechannels signal.thiscontrolisusedtoremoveunwantedsignalcontentbelowthesetfrequency,suchasstagerumble. Theresultisusuallyimprovedsignalqualityoftheassociatedinputsignalwhiledecreasingtheamountoflow frequencyamplificationdemandoftheaudiosystemsamplifierandspeakercombination.thistypeoffilteris alsocalledalow=cutfilter.bestresultisobtainedwhensetfromjustabovefullyclockwisetothe12o'clock (controlpointerstraightup)position.cautionshouldbeusedwhenturnthiscontrolgreaterthanthe1o'clock positionastomuchlowfrequencycontentmayberemovedresultinginanunnaturalsound.movementof thiscontrolwillalsoaffectthe"knee"ofthelowfrequencycontrolsoitremainsusableregardlessofthe amountoflowfrequencycontentthatisremoved. 8
