2 NVA6000 The Novelda NVA6000 is a single-die CMOS chip that delivers high performance, low power, and small-size solution for Impulse RADAR applications. Designed for ETSI and FCC compliance with the 6.0GHz 8.5GHz UWB-mask. Focus feature for increased sensitivity without reduction in speed. Swept-threshold input quantizer with 13-bit resolution for increased sensitivity. Signal recovery through 32-bit digital integration. QFN32, 5x5 mm packaging. Powerful development tools available. Key Features: Single-chip impulse-based radar transceiver. 7th order Gaussian low power RF pulse generator, with programmable bandwidth. Programmable input amplifier gain for increased dynamic range. Interleaved sampling for sub-mm resolution. Ultra high-speed programmable sampler, giving up to 4 mm spatial resolution in normal mode. Staggered PRF for output spectrum smoothening and increased maximum unambiguous range. Iterations feature for 1/f noise suppression. Fully programmable sampling window: o 512 simultaneous sampling points. o 0-60 m detection range. A minimum of external components required. Applications: Medical diagnostics. Life sign monitoring. Key Features: Single-chip impulse-based radar transceiver. Selectable 1st order Gaussian low power RF pulse generators, with programmable bandwidth. Programmable input amplifier gain for increased dynamic range. Ultra high-speed programmable sampler, giving up to 4 mm spatial resolution in normal mode. Interleaved sampling for sub-mm resolution. Staggered PRF for output spectrum smoothening and increased maximum unambiguous range. Iterations feature for 1/f noise suppression. Fully programmable sampling window: o 512 simultaneous sampling points. o 0-60 m detection range. A minimum of external components required. Easily adaptable to FCC/ETSI regulated UWB-masks through simple off-chip filtering. 7 NVA-R6x1 Novelda is releasing a new and improved development platform without the need of a µc and firmware. Consisting only of a small radar module board, and a USB IO cable, it features increased flexibility and performance. Through the defined SPI interface and flexible SW it allows developers to use their preferred development platform HW, and lowers the threshold for implementation.
