STARTING IN 2020, TRAINING INFORMATION AND DATES WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY ON OUR WEBSITE. DAY/WEEKEND CLASSES: 9:00 AM 4:00 PM EVENING CLASSES: 6:00 PM 10:00 PM PROPER DRESS IS REQUIRED. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE MADE BY DEPARTMENT CHIEF OR TRAINING OFFICER. INDIVIDUAL OFFICERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO REGISTER. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY UNLESS PRE-REGISTERED. REGISTRATIONS MUST BE MADE BY For questions, call Diane Carey at Information required for registration and timely input of grades: name of officer, MPOETC #, department name, Department address and phone number. There is a significant change for mandatory in-service classes for 2019 regarding payment for these courses. All officers will still be required to complete 12 hours of inservice training to maintain their Act 120 certification. Beginning January 2019, ALL 4 of the MPOETC courses will be provided by Lackawanna College, AT NO COST to certified municipal officers and/or county detectives (those whose records are maintained in TACS by MPOETC). Departments will still register their officers for MIST training as always, but there will be no charge and therefore, no billing for any of the four MPOETC in-service courses.

3 Departments will not pay for this training. In 2019, Legal Updates is mandatory course and must be taken by every certified municipal officer either in class or online. Officers are still permitted to substitute CLEE approved courses in lieu of the elective MIST courses. Department who are not maintained in TACS, but who are permitted to take the MPOETC courses will have to pay $60.00 per officer). There is a separate process in place for these departments. Please contact our office for more information if you are one of the agencies. Please Note: The continuing Law Enforcement Education (CLEE) requirement consists of 12 hours classroom training for COURSE SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. CLASSES MAY BE CANCELLED OR POSTPONED DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
