2 pushtoexperience Introduction Manager Client provides the ability to manage communications within an organisation, view mobile devices live and historic locations, and handle alerts. Subscribers using an Push To enabled mobile device will update their geographic location to the server every 10 minutes, so their movements can be monitored. During an active alert their position is updated every 30 seconds. 3 Logging In To open Manager Client, browse the URL provided by your service provider. To log in, a user requires their Unified Log-In as provided by the Service Provider. This consists of a Username and Password. Enter these credentials into the Login dialogue box. 5 Adding Contacts Before using Manager Client, the contacts list will need to be populated with contacts from the organisation. To add contacts, select the Add Contacts Tab in the Maps View. Live Position Position History Instant Messages Add Contacts Search for user By name By ID (IPRS) Search Add to contact list Number of matches ID A new contact can be added by entering all or part of their Device into the search box and Click Search From the search results, highlight the contact(s) to be added and click Add to Contacts List. 7 Making a The Manager Client user is able to make a call to predefined groups which are set by the Service Provider, and to contacts that have been added to the contacts list. s can be initiated by selecting the tick boxes next to the contact(s) or group names. Filter users by name: Contacts Groups radio (1) GPS History Delete Chat Announce Curren t Click the call button The active call will be displayed in the Current area Current - chat-room - radio Talker: Talk 1 Members When the call has been initiated, Manager Client shows the number of active members and allows the user to record all audio. To view which members have successfully joined the call, click the down arrow next to the number of members. Current - chat-room - radio Talker: Talk 1 Members Joined Not Joined BB3G Black To send audio to the contact click and hold the Talk button Current - chat-room - radio Talker: you Talk 1 Members To start and end audio recording, click the Record button. When recording is active, the recording symbol turns red. When the call has ended, click the button. Current - chat-room - radio Talker: Talk 1 Members Current - private - BB3G Black Talker: Talk 1 out of 1 Current - chat-room - radio Talker: Talk 1 Members Once the call has ended, all the current call buttons will grey out, the user will need to manually stop the recording if desired. 8 pushtoexperience Group s A Manager Client user is able to place themselves in a predefined Radio Channel Group and will remain a member of this group unless they make a different group call, initiate a 1-1 call or end the call. To join a group select the group tab from the contact list GPS History Delete Chat Announce Filter users by name: Contacts Groups radio Curren t Click the call button The active group call will be displayed in the Current area Current - chat room - radio Talker: Talk 0 members While the Manager Client user is an active member of the radio channel they will receive all audio sent by the users in the field for the selected group. No other group audio will come through from other groups. To send audio to the group click and hold the Talk button. 9 Requests to Talk When a subscriber wants to call Manager Client, they can request a Back. The requests are displayed with the date and time, the device, and its priority. This will remove the entry from the Request to Talk list, and the call will be started in the current call area (see making a call). If a subscriber presses their alert button, the alert will be displayed in the Active Alerts area. Approve Cleanup SOS Approves Alert Clear Alert from list Starts 1-1 with Alert Sender New alerts will be displayed on all Manager Client screens in an organisation. Active alerts show; State New Alert has not been approved by any Manager Client user Approved Alert has been approved by a Manager Client user Displays the device name which raised the alert ID Unique ID assigned to each alert Shows the date and time the alert was sent Page 9

10 pushtoexperience Approving Alerts When a Manager Client user approves an alert, this is displayed to all other Manager Client users to let them know the alert is being handled. State ID Handled by approv.. BB3G Orange Fri Oct 1 15:04:20... Starting Stealth Listening When an alert has been approved, the Manager Client user can Initiate Stealth ing from the Emergency s Area. When stealth listening is activated all audio is automatically recorded. Stealth listening allows Manager Client users to hear all audio from the remote device, and send audio back as per a standard PTT call. To initiate stealth calling single click the approved Alert and click SOS. Emergency s Approve Cleanup SOS State ID Handled by appov.. BB3G Orange Fri Oct 1 15:04:20... Current - SOS - BB3G Talker: BB3G Orange Talk 1 out of 1 When Stealth listening is initiated, all audio is automatically recorded To send audio to the contact click and hold the Talk button. Current - SOS - BB3G Talker: BB3G Orange Talk 1 out of 1 Current - SOS - BB3G Talker: BB3G Orange Talk 1 out of 1 To end the stealth listening session, click the button Current - SOS - BB3G Talker: BB3G Orange Talk 1 out of 1 Current - SOS - BB3G Talker: - Talk 1 out of 1 Clearing Alerts When an active alert has been dealt with it can be cleared from the emergency calls list by single clicking it in the emergency calls list and Clicking the clean up button. 11 Navigating The Map The map area is used to display the live and historic positions of subscribers. There are 4 map views available. These are selectable in the top right hand corner of the map. Choose from Map (Default), Satellite, Hybrid and Terrain. Map View Satellite View Hybrid View Terrain View Page 11

12 pushtoexperience Pan Used to navigate the map, users can also move around the map by holding Shift while clicking/dragging the mouse Zoom Slider Used to zoom in/out of the map, users can also scroll the mouse wheel (where available) Navigating the Live Positions View When using the live position view, the following buttons are available: Save Announce Restore Starts a call with highlighted subscriber Announce A one-way audio call that is made by Manager Client users to selected handsets Save Saves current view to a temporary view under restore option labelled Temporary Restore Manages different views. Clicking the Restore button will take the map view to the last saved view Navigating History Positions View When using the History view, the following buttons are available: Reload Save Repeat Restore Last hour day week Reload Reloads location points if the time range has been changed Report Generates report based on highlighted GPS co-ordinates Last Quickly select to view the last X period of time or fixes Save Saves current view to a temporary view under restore option labelled Temporary Restore Manages different views. Clicking the Restore button will take the map view to the last saved view Selector Selects a specific time range over the last week Calendar Selects a date range over the last 30 days Page 12

13 Setting Custom Map Views By clicking the options (down arrow) on the Restore button and selecting Manage... a user can save and manage map locations for future reference Click the Restore Options (down arrow) Restore Manage Temporary Click Manage... 14 pushtoexperience To add a view via a postcode, enter this into the search box and click Add Address. This will save the current view under the Restore button as Temporary. Map Markers It is also possible to add markers to the map as a quick reference for locations using this feature. Once you have added an entry, click in the Map Marker column and choose Label to add a named pointer on the map in that position. Restoring Views To load a saved view, click the Restore Options (down arrow) Select the view from the available list Page 14

15 Viewing Live Position Manager Client users can track the live positions of all the subscribers in their organisation. To do this they will need to be added as a contact first (see Adding Contacts). To view the live position of a subscriber in the contacts list, double click the globe next to their device name. This will update the map to show their current position. 16 pushtoexperience Viewing Historical Positions Manager Client users can view the historical positions of all the subscribers over the last 30 days. To do this the subscribers will need to be added as a contact first (see Adding Contacts). To view subscriber s positions, select the tick boxes next to their device names and Click GPS History. This will load the last day of activity Filter users by name: GPS History Delete Chat Announce Contacts Groups Current State BB3G Orange BB3G Black Users can view different time ranges by selecting the time with the Selector and clicking Reload. To select a date range over the last 30 days select the Positions History Tab. To select a date range single click the first day, hold the shift key and single click the last date. In the contact list select the tick boxes next to the contacts names. Click Reload. Page 16

17 Making a from the Live View Manager Client users can initiate a call by selecting the required subscribers from the live positions view. Highlight the subscribers on the live map by holding down the left mouse button and dragging a box over them Note that the subscribers become ticked in the contacts list. To initiate a call, either click the button on the map area, or click the button in the Contact list. Note: The call is initiated and displayed in the current call area. 18 pushtoexperience Downloading Position Report Manager Client users can download reports listing off the recorded locations for selected subscribers. Select the subscribers(s) by clicking the tick boxes next to their name(s). Select the time range and click the Reload button or click Reload Paths button. To download a report of the displayed data, click the Report button. 19 Advanced Options Setting the sound card For Manager Client users using computers with multiple sound cards they will need to select the relevant sound card. Select the advanced options arrow (adjacent to the sign out button). Configuration Same Position (meters): 300 GPS Updates Rate (secs.): 60 Map Path Dot Rates Size (pixels): 2 Map Path Width (pixels): 5 Map Path Arrow Size (pixels): 10 Map Marker Label Mode: Export Report Date Format: Day Before Month Audio Input ID: 0 Output ID: 0 OK To change the default sound card for the microphone select the down arrow next to Input ID, for the Speakers select the down arrow next to Output ID, in turn select 1 then 2 etc making a test call after selecting each one until the audio is routed from the desired sound card. 20 pushtoexperience Service Indicators The service indicators are displayed at the top of the Manager Client screen. During normal operation these will be displayed as green. Manager Client Control English Sign out If for any reason the Manager Client encounters a connection issue the indictor will change to inform the user to the connection issue. Normal operation Issue with connection To identify which service is affected hover the mouse over the indicator Manager Client SOS Control English Sign out How to fix connection issues If for any reason there is a connection issue users can try to fix the connection with 3 easy steps; 1. Sign out and Sign in 2. Restart computer 3. Restart Internet connection, restart modem. If all of the above fail and the Manager Client is still experiencing connection issues, please contact your service provider. Page 20
