The test contains 47 questions distributed as follows: (1-12) 12 questions (without DSC) concerning distress, urgency and safety, 10 of which must be answered correctly. (13-32) 20 questions concerning regulations and VHF radio systems, 15 of which must be answered correctly. (33-39) 7 questions concerning the use of DSC equipment in distress, urgency and safety situations, 6 of which must be answered correctly. (40-47) 8 questions concerning the use of DSC equipment in ordinary conditions as well as EPIRB, SART, NAVTEX and the design of the GMDSS system in general, 5 of which must be answered correctly. No other aids than those mentioned on the front page must be used, and any attempts to cheat during the test will result in immediate dismissal. The external examiner will evaluate the tables of answers handed in immediately after the termination of the test. Therefore, it will be possible for participants who would like to know the result of the test to be informed about the result of the evaluation if they wait for a while. If the test is evaluated as passed, the SRC certificate will be forwarded by mail. Professional secrecy Attention is drawn to the provision on professional secrecy stipulated in section 21 of the order on the use of radio frequencies issued by the Danish IT and Telecom Agency, according to which radio correspondence must in general be kept secret from anyone unauthorised. Operation of radio equipment In accordance with MSC circular MSC/Circ.803 on "Participation on non-solas ships in GMDSS" from the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Danish Maritime Authority hereby urges test participants to take practical user courses prior to using the equipment.
