These thermometers are use in applications where a thermowell immerse into the process meium is not possible or not esi. A wie variety of process connections is available, so that these thermometers can be use for many ifferent processes without any problems. 3- or 4-wire platinum measurement resistances in accuracy classes A an B accoring to DIN EN serve as sensors. Analogue or igital transmitters built into the connection hea are capable of making various output signals such as ma, HART protocol, Profibus PA or FOUNDATION Fielbus available. Intrinsically safe esigns are available for applications in hazarous areas. Materials In sterile processes mainly austenitic CrNiMo steels are use as stanar materials. In the foo an beverage sector an in the pharmaceutical inustry the qualities an are to be prefer to the titanium-stabilise steel (AISI 316Ti). For these thermometers WIKA uses stainless steel as stanar material for all metallic surfaces that may come into contact with the process meium. Error 1.5 C class B in C class B in Ω class A in C class A in Ω C Temperature 0.75 Ω Error Surface The possibility of cleaning a plant in the scope of CIP/SIP processes is mainly influence by the quality of the surfaces in contact with the process meium. In orer to avoi concentration of pathogenic organisms, the surface in contact with the prouct shoul be passive an free of microscopic faults. All moel TR472 surfaces that may come into contact with the process meium achieve an average surface roughness of R a 0.8 µm. The connection hea use in this case is similar to the hea moel BSZ-H. For operation a ma transmitter is necessary, which is mounte to the measuring insert. The scale range of the inicator is configu ientical to the measuring range of the transmitter. Intrinsically safe versions, explosion protection type EEx (i), are also available. 8 Explosion protection (option) Resistance thermometers Moel TR472 are available with a type examination certificate for "intrinsically safe" protection (TÜV 03 ATEX 2233 X). These thermometers comply with the requirements of irective 94/9/EC (ATEX), EEx-i, for gases an ust. The responsibility for using suitable thermowells rests with the user. The permissible ambient temperature ranges of the built-in transmitters can be taken from the corresponing transmitter approval. The classification / suitability of the instrument (permissible power P max., minimum neck length an permissible ambient temperature) for the respective category can be seen from the type examination certificate an the operating instructions.
