The images are provided in JPEG, TIFF and RAW formats, the image name is the same for all formats. The camera raw image file contains minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera. Note although the RAW format is claimed to be archival and open source each camera manufacturer has their own brand of RAW in this case CR2 as the images were taken by a Canon camera. The RAW files should not be altered but used to produce processed files in whatever format is suitable. Typically JPEG is used for editing while RAW and TIFF files remain unused as archival copies.
