3 Credit Card Overview The Credit Card process enables an operator to enter data for a defined field(s) for credit card items. Displaying the Item Processing Modules Window The Item Processing Modules window is accessed from the RemitTrac Application Daily ribbon bar. To access the Item Processing Modules Window From the RemitTrac Application Daily ribbon bar, select Item Process. Figure 1. Selecting Item Process on the Daily Ribbon Bar The Item Processing Modules window is displayed on the screen. Understanding the Item Processing Modules Window The Item Processing Modules window provides access to the daily workflow functions and can be used to determine which functions need to be performed. The value displayed next to each function indicates the number of batches that contain items that require that function. A check mark ( ) is displayed next to each function that the operator has been granted access to perform. Credit Card function Choose F12-Refresh to update values Figure 2. 4 Refreshing the Item Processing Modules Window When the Item Processing Modules window is accessed, the number of batches in each function is automatically updated. The value in each function is also updated after exiting a workflow function and returning to the Item Processing Modules window. To manually update values for the workflow functions Starting Credit Card From the Item Processing Modules window, choose F12-Refresh. The values displayed for the functions are updated to reflect the number of batches that need to be completed. The Credit Card process is started from the Item Processing Modules window. To start Credit Card Processing From the Item Processing Modules window, choose F7-Field Entry. The Credit Card Processing window displays on the screen. Understanding the Credit Card Processing Window Title Bar The Credit Card Processing window is used for entering data for a defined Credit Card field on an item. 5 Table 1 summarizes the areas of the Credit Card Processing window. Table 1. Credit Card Processing Window Area Title Bar Image Viewer Processing Zone Field Data Entry Box Item Information Command Buttons Description Displays the Item Processing Credit Card Processing program name. Displays the image of each document in a batch that requires Credit Card Processing Displays the zone (in the color purple) for the field that requires Credit Card Processing. This field was defined in the Item Processing tab on the Forms tab in Lockbox Setup. For more information about this defined field, see the document Lockbox Setup Item Processing in the RemitTrac Setup Manual. Displays the characters that are typed when entering data for the field displayed in the Processing Zone. Displays the lockbox name and number, batch number, transaction number, and sequence number of the item displayed in the Image Viewer. Command buttons that are used when performing Credit Card Processing. Using the Command Buttons Table 2 summarizes the commands that can be used during Credit Card Processing. Table 2. Commands on the Item Processing Credit Card Processing Window Command F1:Fr/Rr View Rear / View Front Description Toggles between the front and rear image for the item displayed in the Image Viewer. Allows the operator to view the Rear of the document without moving the Redaction mask to the rear image. F2: Show Remit Function not applicable in Credit Card Processing. F3:Size F4:Change Adjusts the size of the image displayed in the Image Viewer. Function not applicable in Credit Card Processing. F5:Flip Rotate Flips an image that is displayed upside down in the Image Viewer. Rotates an image 90 degrees in a clockwise direction. Credit Card Processing Module 3

Closes the Item Processing Credit Card Processing window and returns to the Item Processing Modules Window. Performing Credit Card Processing During the Credit Card Processing process, each item that is scheduled for Credit Card Processing is displayed in the Image Viewer, one at a time. To complete Credit Card Processing 1. In the Field Data Entry Box, type the characters required for the field. Value for the field is typed in the Field Data Entry Box Figure 4. Entering data for the Credit Card Number field A message is displayed for the credit card number confirming that the that the field passed the check digit standards 4 RemitTrac Workflow Manual

7 NOTE: The check digit confirmation message is only used for credit card numbers. A confirmation message will not be displayed for other fields. 2. Press ENTER to move to the next item. If multiple Credit Card fields are defined for the form, the next field for the current item is displayed in the Field Data Entry box. If only one field is defined for the form, the next item that requires Credit Card Processing is displayed in the Image Viewer. NOTE: If the keyed information for a credit card does not pass check digit verification, the operator will not be allowed to move on to the next item. Also, a message similar to the one in Figure 5 is displayed next to the Field Data Entry Box to inform the operator that the keyed data does not pass check digit verification. Figure 5. Message that data did not pass check digit verification NOTE: If an operator logs you out through the Batch/Queue Status while you are in the middle of processing, a message similar to the one in Figure 6 is displayed. The Item Processing window will close and you will be returned to the main RemitTrac screen. Credit Card Processing Module 5

8 Rejecting an Item An item can be rejected during Credit Card Processing. Rejecting an item removes the item from the Credit Card process, flags the item as rejected, and stores 0 s as the value for the field. To reject an item 1. Choose F9: Reject. The Reject Item Confirmation message is displayed on the screen. Figure 7. Reject item confirmation message 2. Choose OK to reject the item and display the next item that requires keying. or Choose Cancel to not reject the item and continue editing the item. WARNING: If an item is rejected in the Credit Card module, it cannot be unrejected in any other item process. 6 RemitTrac Workflow Manual

9 Resizing Images The F3:Size command can be used during Credit Card Processing to modify how the images are displayed in the Image Viewer. If the F3:Size command is used to modify the size of the item while processing a batch, only that item is shown at the selected size. When the next item is displayed, the size of the images reverts back to the default view option for the operator. To modify the size of an image in the Image Viewer 1. Choose F3: Size. The F3:Size command changes to F3:Size (Ctrl +/-). 2. Use the CTRL and the + (plus) keys to enlarge the image or the CTRL and the (minus) keys to make the image smaller. Enlarged (partial) image view NOTE: When an image is enlarged, the vertical and horizontal scroll bars and arrows can be used to reposition the image in the Image Viewer. 10 Viewing the Rear Image of an Item As a default, during Credit Card Processing, the front image of each item is displayed in the Image Viewer. NOTE: The rear image of an item is only available if the transport option to capture the rear image of items is defined for the lockbox and the transport has a rear camera. To view the rear image of an item with the redaction window To view the rear image of an item that has the redaction window on it, choose F1: Fr/Rr. The rear image of the item is displayed in the Image Viewer. Figure 9. Rear image of an item When the rear image is displayed, choose F1: Front/Rear to view the front image of the item again. NOTE: If the item is accepted while viewing the rear image, the rear image of the item will be presented in other workflow functions and when viewing the item in tools such as Research. In addition, the rear image of the item will be printed on image copies. To view the rear image of an item without the redaction window To view the rear image of an item that does not have the redaction window on it, choose View Rear. 12 Flipping an Image If an item was upside-down during the capture pass on the transport, it can be flipped during the Credit Card Processing function. Figure 11. Flipped Image To flip an image Choose F5: Flip. The image is rotated 180 degrees in the Image Viewer. Figure 12. Image right-side up in Image Viewer after flipping NOTE: After an item has been flipped, it will be presented right-side up in subsequent workflow functions and when viewing the item in tools such as Research. 13 Rotating an Image When an image of an item is not oriented correctly, the image can be rotated by 90 degrees in a clockwise direction. Changing the rotation of the item corrects the orientation of the image in the Image Viewer and marks the item as rotated in the database. Doing this ensures that the item will be displayed correctly in other RemitTrac processing including Image Print and Research. To rotate an item Click on Rotate. Click on Rotate Figure 13. 14 Inverting the Image Colors The colors of the bitonal item displayed in the Image Viewer can be inverted or reversed. On some images, it is easier to view the image when the colors are reversed. When the colors are inverted, the portions of the image that were originally displayed in white are displayed in black, and the portions that displayed in black are displayed in white, as shown in Figure 15. NOTE: The Invert option is not available when viewing images in color or grayscale. To invert the colors of an image Choose F6: Invert. The colors of the image are inverted. Figure 15.
