1 This Module includes essential hardware and software to perform stabilization performance testing. Users can analyze optical and digital stabilization for photo and video. It also measures the performance of a photo stabilization system, in stops, as defined in the CIPA protocol 1. The Module s configuration is very flexible to address a wide range of customer needs. It ranges from the simplest software + chart package to a comprehensive package including our laboratory and automated lighting systems. Key features Delivers relevant metrics of stabilization quality: motion blur, residual motions (rotations, translations), rolling shutter distortions, and image stabilization performance in stops (CIPA protocol) Compatible with all image stabilization systems including OIS and EIS Includes high-quality test chart(s), recommended lab equipment, in-depth documentation, and the analysis software in one package Automatically detects relevant test chart patterns and reports results with no operator intervention Performs measurements on RGB (.jpeg,.tiff, etc.) or RAW images Performs video measurements directly on video stream or on a stack of video frames, whether finished files or RAW files. Analyzes video quality under dynamic lighting conditions, with a large range of color temperatures and light intensities Can measure cameras with resolution from VGA to 4K, and field of view up to 160 Available Stabilization Module measurements measurements are performed using the Dead Leaves chart. Reproducible motions are made using a software-controlled stabilization platform. 3 MEASUREMENT SAMPLES DxO Analyzer software processes the video and image files. Measurements of all purchased modules are available in this interface, and can be accessed from their chart. Results are displayed in the interface after processing, and can be exported in html, spreadsheet, or pdf formats. 1 Select chart to launch a new measurement Batch processing of photos and videos Results are available in datasheets The DxO Analyzer v6.0 interface 1 Here are examples of DxO Analyzer results for all the available attributes of the Image stabilization system (CIPA standard) It is possible to determine the gain, in stops, of the stabilization system by combining the results obtained both with and without the stabilization system activated at different shutter speeds. DxO Analyzer combines all results and generates the graph.
