6 CytoFLEX Detection System Inside the WDM module, the fluorescence light is divided into individual wavelength bands and tightly focused through a series of band pass filters, on to an array of ultralow noise silicon photo detectors. WDM Module The WDM module utilizes a Fiber optical Array of Photo Detectors (FAPD). Fluorescent signals collected from the flow cell are focused into laser wavelength specific optical fibers. Each optical fiber delivers all the fluorescence induced by a given wavelength laser to a specific WDM detection module. Each module contains an array of up to 6 photo detectors.
