11 Aperture The aperture stop of a photographic lens can be adjusted to control the amount of light reaching the film or image sensor. In combination with variation of shutter speed, the aperture size will regulate the film's or image sensor's degree of exposure to light.

13 Aperture is measured in F- Stops: The smaller the opening the less light travels into the camera. The larger the opening the more light travels into the camera.

15 Can be confusing The smaller the F-Stop number, the more light it allows into the camera. But the best way to think about it is how it changes the focus. The smaller the F-stop ( Aperture), the smaller the focus area is.

18 Shutter speed - In photography, shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time a camera's shutter is open when taking a photograph. - The amount of light that reaches the film or image sensor is proportional to the exposure time.

32 Beware of Auto Settings Auto, Program or Aperture Priority or too low of a ISO can cause you to have too slow of a shutter speed and you can unintentionally have blurry photos.

33 Photography is built on the three pillars of exposure: - Shutter speed, - Aperture - Sensitivity (ISO). Shutter and aperture control how much light comes into the camera.

34 ISO International Standard Organization - The amount of light needed is determined by the sensitivity of the film or the digital sensors. -Commonly referred to as Film Speed -Over the years that sensitivity has been expressed in various ways, most recently as ASA and now ISO.
