What s more important is a good eye for composition and detail, a decent understanding of your camera, knowing the basic lighting techniques - whether you re using natural light or flash or both - and above all, developing strong interpersonal skills with your subjects. A laptop with some type of image processing (comes standard with most digital cameras on a disk). 3. Your memory cards. 4. A charged battery. Nice to Have: 1. An external flash unit. 2. A tripod. 3. Flash triggers (to be explained). 4. A reflector/diffuser (to be explained).
