17 Why TapeLite technology is clearly superior: Twisted fibers are laminated to reflective films. this creates a much broader surface area for light to reflect from, thus emitting more light. Parallel fibers at the cable ends provide for a very effective light launch into the cable. They also provide for a very high fiber density in the fiber port.
