2 Introduction Thank you for using this Olympus product. The "Olympus High Res Shot Raw File Photoshop Plug-in" processes High Res Shot raw files (.orf files) so they can be viewed on CS5 or newer 64-bit Adobe Photoshop. Please read these instructions carefully in order to get the best results from this product. Please Note The contents of this software and this manual may not be reproduced in whole or in part except for personal use. It may not be transferred without permission. Olympus accepts absolutely no responsibility in respect of losses suffered by the customer or a third party as a result of use of this software. While every care has been taken in the preparation of this manual, if you find any points which are unclear, errors, or omissions, please contact an authorized Olympus service center. This application cannot process raw files which are not shot in the High Res Shot setting. Some setting adjustments will not be reflected when raw files are processed. This software is compatible with the 64-bit version of CS5 or newer Adobe Photoshop and will not function propoerly with a 32-bit version. 4GBs of RAM must be allocated to Photoshop to use this software. This software is only guaranteed to operate in the same operating environment required for the specified Photoshop versions. This software is compatible with raw files taken with Olympus digital cameras only. A 64-bit operating system is required to use this software. 3 Performing RAW Development Processing To perform raw development processing using this software, follow the procedure below. 1 Start Photoshop. 2 From the [File] menu, select [Import], and then select [High Res Shot Raw File Plug-in]. Windows Mac OS The dialog box to specify the file to be imported appears. Windows Mac OS 3 Click the name of the image file (File Name.orf) in the list that you want to import, and then click the Open or Choose button. The "Olympus High Res Shot Raw File Photoshop Plug-in" dialog box appears. 3

4 4 If desired, set the items in the raw development setting area. For details about each item, refer to the table below. 7 8 Setting Items No. Item Description Exposure Compensation White Balance Corrects the exposure. The exposure can be set from -2.0 to +2.0 in 0.1 EV increments. Adjusts the white balance. Select [Color Temperature Setting] or [Gray Point Specification]. Color Temperature Setting Sets the color temperature of the white balance. The value is adjustable between 2000 to 20000K, in 1K step increments. Fine Adjustment Adjusts the color temperature in [Color Temperature Setting]. The value is adjustable between -10 to +10, in one-step increments. Gray Point Specification Adjusts the white balance in relation to a specified gray point in the image. You can adjust the white balance to the image's gray point easily by selecting [Gray Point Specification]. 4

The value is adjustable between -2 to +2, in one-step increments. Sets the Sharpness. The value is adjustable between -2 to +2, in one-step increments. Sets the saturation. The value is adjustable between -2 to +2, in one-step increments. Selects the color setting. The following settings are available: srgb Adobe RGB Crop using Aspect Ratio information if the selected files(s) contains Aspect ratio information. Apply current settings to all images. Please note that all existings settings of the images will be overwritten. 5 Click the [Process] or [Process All] button. The file processed for Photoshop use will appear when the progress diaolog box closes. 5
