2 GRACE Photographic Club of HONG KONG S.A.R., CHINA cordially invites you to submit entries to our 2nd Int'l Salon of Monochrome Prints (Class A), Color Prints (Class A) and 3rd Int'l Salon of Color Digital Images which will be held at the Exhibition Gallery, 7th Floor of City Hall, Central, Hong Kong from 15 September 2011 to 17 September ENTRY RULES CONDITIONS 1. This exhibition is open to everyone up to 4 prints (least 28cm x 35 cm but should not exceed 40cm x 50cm) for prints division or 4 images for color digital images division, may be submitted in one or more divisions, but accepted entries in the past GPC Salons are ineligible. Besides CD submission, Color Digital Image submission can be submitted by gpcsalonoversea@ymail.com, bootchaiko@yahoo.com.hk ( Oversea ), gpcsalonlocal@ymail.com (Local - Inland China, Macau, HK). 2. Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. 3. Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates, subject to divisional restrictions. 4. All possible care will be taken to all prints, but no responsibility for loss or damage is assumed. 5. For prints, name and address of entrant, title, and the entry number as on the entry form must appear on back of each print. 6. Each division of this exhibition will be judged and scored separately. 7. This exhibition will be conformity with P.S.A. & R.P.S regulations. Acceptance Certificate will be issued. Acceptances and awards obtained in this exhibition can be counted towards P.S.A. 'Star Ratings' & 'Who's Who'. 8. Permission to reproduce for use in conjunction with the exhibition is assumed unless denied. 9. All acceptance cards will be given for each acceptance and each entrant will be sent a catalogue of the exhibition. 10. HONOUR AWARDED TO THE GPC SALON OUTSTANDING EXHIBITOR For distinguished outstanding Exhibitor in our GPC Salon, from the 1st GPC International Prints Salon of 2003, anyone entrant consecutively 3 years to be accepted in our GPC Salon in the same division up to the following standard, he/she will be entitled for the "Excellent Exhibitor" (E.E.GPC). "The Standard of E.E.GPC" 1 Acceptance rated as 1 score 2 Acceptance rated as 2 scores 3 Acceptance rated as 3 scores 4 Acceptance rated as 5 scores The qualification mark of E.E.GPC is 11 scores. Note:- Score points for Colour Prints (Class B) Division obtained from year 2009 and thereafter, can be accumulated to Colour Prints (Class A) Division of this Salon Exhibition (1) Bank Notes are preferred, all foreign and personal cheque or Bank Draft will not be accepted. (2) Where the transmission of currency is forbidden, entries will be accepted with 32 I.R.C. per entrant. Local entries will not be returned by postage. (3) Only Overseas Entry Fee of Color Digital image division can be paid via PayPal to bootchaiko@yahoo.com.hk which PayPal account is recognized by HKGPC and adopts on our Website : download entry form. Remember that PayPal verify number should register on our entry form. (4) Besides CD submission, Color Digital Image submission can be submitted by gpcsalonoversea@ymail.com, bootchaiko@yahoo.com.hk ( Oversea ), gpcsalonlocal@ymail.com (local), a pdf-file of entry form is surplus. But entry fee should be enclosed with individual entry form by sending. (5) Entries submitted without full payment will not be judged nor returned. Submission of Entries Signifies acceptance of above conditions. DEFINITION Monochrome Prints (Class A) & Color Prints (Class A): 1. Both of the prints at least 28cm x 35 cm but should not exceed 40cm x 50cm and must be un-mounted for oversea and Inland entrant, but the prints with mounted for local and Macau entrant. If prints exceed maximum dimensions they will be disqualified. The entrant's name and address, number and title of prints, corresponding with the same on the entry form. 2. Monochrome prints: The basic content of Black, Grey, White work consists with grey gradient for the images. A black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one color becomes a color work to the color category. Color Digital Images: 1. Digital files must be in a compressed JPEG format with a maximum size of 1024 pixels wide x 768 pixels high and a resolution of 72 dpi submitted in a CD-ROM, or via submission (for oversea) to gpcsalonoversea@ymail.com, bootchaiko@yahoo.com.hk,( For China Inland, H.K. Macau ) to gpcsalonlocal@ymail.com ( with application form scanned pdf file), regardless of portrait or landscape orientation. Images will not be compressed or rotated by the Association. Images that are smaller than the maximum size will be displayed exactly as they are provided on the CD-ROM submitted or in submission. 2a. For CD submission that TWO FOLDERS each containing the digital files of the same digital images are required; one with a maximum image size of 1MB (each image) for adjudication purposes and he other marked HIGH' with an image size of 20 MB (each image) for salon catalogues (if selected for printing). 2b. For submission that if entrant s is selected for printing in our Salon Catalogue. He or she will be informed by to submit large files for printing. 3. Entries can be submitted by CD post or by . But Entry Fee should be enclosed with entry form. (except oversea submission that the entry fee can be paid by PayPal, in this case that Paypal Verify No. should be marked on designated column of the entry form) The Association shall not be responsible for any losses and errors during the process of reading digital files. Submitted digital media will not be returned. 4. The entrant's name, file numbers, file names and image titles printed on the entry form shall be corresponding either with the CD image files submitted or without image files as those are submitted by The file name shall be in English characters containing the entrant's name followed by a sequential number in the order of d1 to d4 linked up by hyphens and followed by extension.jpg. Do not use the image title as the file name. For example : Name of Entrant : John Hall Name of Images shall be : John-Hall-d1.jpg: John-Hall-d2.jpg: and the like. 6. For CD submission, the entrant's name and country must be printed on the surface of the CD. 7. Any entries not conforming to the above requirements may not be shown to the Judging Panel and the entry fee will not be refunded.
