3 Terms and Conditions 1. ELIGIBILITY 1.1 Open to all photography enthusiasts and photographers residing in Singapore. 1.2 Participants who are below 18 years of age shall submit proof of parental or guardian consent for their participation in this competition, if required by the organiser. 2. COMPETITION REQUIREMENT 2.1 Submitting a series of 4 photos depicting the theme of Yueh Hai Ching Temple located at 30B Phillip Street, Singapore Old photos featuring with the temple are welcome. 2.2 All photo entries must be the original works of the photographer. 3. PHOTO SUBMISSION AND ENTRY FORM CLOSING DATE 3.1 All entry photos must be submitted together with an official entry form (photocopies and digital copy are accepted), no later than 20 March 2015 (Friday), 5pm to Ngee Ann Cultural Centre (NACC). Late submission will not be accepted. 3.2 All entry photos with entry form can be submitted via 2 methods and must be accompanied by the respective documents (non-returnable): I) By mail - Attention to Events Department - Hardcopy entry form - One passport-sized portrait photo of the participant - A CD Rom containing the softcopy of each artwork, each length must fulfil a minimum of 1500 pixels to a maximum of 3000 pixels, in TIFF or JPEG format II) Through file transfer portals like Dropbox, WeTransfer, YouSendIt etc - Share folder or send to nacc@ngeeann.com.sg - Soft copy entry form - One passport-sized portrait photo of the participant - Hi-res softcopy of each artwork, each length of the image must fulfil a minimum of 1500 pixels to a maximum of 3000 pixels in TIFF or JPEG format. File size must be at least 1 MB. 3.3 Entry form can be downloaded from or collected at the Security Counter of Teochew Building, located at 97 Tank Road (S) , from 9am to 8pm daily. 3.4 Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, converting colour images to black and white are allowed. Digital manipulation that distorts the original composition or quality of the photographs will be deemed as disqualified. 4. WINNING ENTRIES AND PRINTING 4.1 The organiser reserves the right to reject or decline any/all participating artwork(s) without citing any reasons. All decisions made by the judges are final. No correspondence will be entertained. 4.2 The organiser reserves the right to cancel or suspend the contest or disqualifying the participant should the participant fails to comply with the terms and condition. 4.3 The winners will be notified by call or . Results will also be released on on 24 March 2015 (Tuesday). 4.4 Winners must print and submit the original photographs on 2 April 2015 (Thursday), 10am to 7pm, to Ngee Ann Cultural Centre. Failure to submit the photographs will revoke the winning status. 4.5 Printing requirement of winning entries: i. Prints size must be in either 12 x 16 inches or 12 x 18 inches only (see example illustrated at reverse page). ii. Prints must be developed by photo chemical process. iii. As framing will be provided for exhibition, please keep the main content at least 3mm away from all edges (refer to illustration below for example). No white border is allowed. 3

4 iv. Please indicate participant s name, entry title, dimension and label TOP at the back of photo as correct orientation. v. Soft photo lamination is recommended, but no document (hard) lamination. 3mm 3mm 12 inches ( pixels) 16 inches ( pixels) Original photo before mounting Photo after mounting Mounting board (Provided by NACC) 4.6 The winners assign the right to the organiser to use, reproduce, edit or distribute their works in any marketing materials of the event and any future publicity materials for non-profit purposes without any fee being paid. 4.7 Should the quality of entries falls below the required standard, the organiser reserves the right not to award any prizes. 4.8 The organiser reserves the right to request the winners to provide proof of identity (if required) in order to claim a prize. Failure to provide sufficient proof will render the prize being forfeited. 5. PRIZE PRESENTATION 5.1 All prizes will be presented during the Opening Ceremony of the 10 th Ngee Ann Photography Exhibition, which will be held on 15 April 2015 (Wednesday), at 7pm, at Ngee Ann Exhibition Hall. Any changes on the date shall be notified by NACC. 5.2 All participants are welcome to the Opening Ceremony and the exhibition will run from 16 to 26 April 2015, 11am 7pm daily. 6. LIABILITY 6.1 The participant shall assume all risks in respect of loss, injury, damage or liability which may arise from taking part the contest and should not hold organiser responsible. 6.2 Any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, judgment or execution, arising from infringement or alleged infringement of intellectual copyright from the submission should be defended solely by the participants and the organiser should not be hold any responsible for participants misconduct. 6.3 Participants shall refer to the rules and regulations governing photo taking of Yueh Hai Ching Temple. 7. OTHER RELEVANT CLAUSES 7.1 All participants will assign the right to organizer to a non-exclusive, royalty-free and transferable right to use, reproduce, edit or distribute their works and contact details for the production of CD or for any marketing materials for the exhibition and any future publicity material used for the purpose of non-profit in nature without any fee being paid. All usage of photos will be credited to the photographer. 7.2 The organiser reserves the right to treat the competition as cancelled if the response is not up to expectation. 7.3 The organiser reserves the right to crop the submitted artwork(s) to ensure artwork(s) fit into the frame. 7.4 The organiser reserves the right to revise the Terms and Conditions at any time without given any prior notice. 4

5 参赛规则 1. 参赛资格 1.1 开放给所有居住在新加坡的摄影爱好者和摄影师 1.2 如有需要, 主办单位将要求年龄在 18 岁以下的参赛者出示父母或监护人的参赛同意证明 2. 比赛要求 2.3 欢迎提交一系列 4 张具有粤海清庙特色的新或旧照片 粤海清庙坐落于 30B 菲利街, 新加坡, 邮区 参赛作品必须是由参赛者自己摄制的原创作品 3. 提交参赛作品表格和参赛截止日期 3.1 参赛表格 ( 影印复本亦可 ) 和作品需在 2015 年 3 月 20 日 ( 星期五 ) 前寄至本文化中心 逾期表格恕不受理 3.2 参赛作品和表格可以下 2 种方式呈交, 并必须偕同下列文件 : I) 邮寄方式 - 信封上请注明项目策划部 - 参赛表格一份 - 参赛者近照一张 ( 护照 ) - 一片附有参赛作品图像的光碟, 图像须是高清晰度, 图像的每一边最少须 1500 像数, 最多为 3000 像数 每张图像的大小必须在 1MB 以上,TIFF 或 JPEG 格式 II) 通过 Dropbox, WeTransfer, YouSendIt 等电子传载方式 - 上传作品并电邮至 nacc@ngeeann.com.sg - 电子版参赛表格一份 - 参赛者近照一张 ( 护照 ) - 上传每张参赛作品的图像 图像须是高清晰度, 图像的每一边最少须 1500 像数, 最多为 3000 像数,TIFF 或 JPEG 格式 每张图像文件不少于 1MB 3.3 参赛表格可从官方网站 下载或在本中心的保安柜台领取 领取表格时间为每日上午九时至晚上八时正 3.4 参赛作品仅限基本的画质调整, 如增强照片的锐力度, 调节对比度或将彩色图像改换成黑色和白色 如果利用数码或软件技术过分修改照片的原始构图或画质, 主办单位将有权取消其参赛资格 4. 优胜作品及照片打印 4.1 主办单位保留最终权力决定接受 / 拒绝参赛作品, 不论在任何情况下, 不须给予理由 任何异议, 主办单位恕不受理 4.2 如果参与者不遵守参赛规则, 主办单位有权力取消其参赛资格 4.3 本中心将以电话或电邮方式通知得奖者, 并于 2015 年 3 月 24 日 ( 星期二 ) 将优胜作品及名单公布在 网站 4.4 优胜者需在 2015 年 4 月 2 日 ( 星期四 ), 上午十时正至傍晚七时正将作品呈交至本文化中心 如果不能依时呈交作品, 优胜者将失去获奖的资格 4.5 获奖作品的照片打印规格 : I) 照片应属实际尺寸, 尺寸需为 12 x 16 寸或 12 x 18 寸 ( 请参考后页所示图案 ) II) 照片须以摄影药水冲印 5

6 III) 请在作品的主要内容外保留 3 毫米的非白色周边, 以利置入中心所提供的相框 ( 请参考下列所示图案 ) IV) 请在照片背面写上参赛者姓名, 作品名称, 尺寸及注明 TOP 以显示正确的展示方向 V) 主办单位建议参赛者使用 Soft Photo Lamination, 不宜使用 Document (Hard) Lamination 3 毫米 3 毫米 12 寸 ( 像素 ) 16 寸 ( 像素 ) 原照 装框后的照片 安装板 ( 由中心提供 ) 4.6 优胜者将赋予主办单位权利重新复制, 修改或分发参赛照片以作为本活动宣传资料用途及将图像用于往后其他非盈利性质的宣传用途上 主办单位无需另付原创者额外费用 4.7 若参赛作品不符合主办单位所设的审核标准, 主办单位将保留最终決定权, 不颁发任何奖项 4.8 主办单位有权要求优胜者出示正式身份证明 如果未能提供, 主办单位可取消其优胜资格 5. 颁奖儀式 5.1 奖项将于 2015 年 4 月 15 日 ( 星期三 ), 傍晚 7 时正举行的第十届義安影艺展的开展仪式上颁发 地点为義安展览厅 颁奖日期若有更改, 中心将另行通知 5.2 欢迎所有参赛者出席开展仪式, 展览将从 2015 年 4 月 16 展至 4 月 26 日, 每日上午十一时正至傍晚七时正 6. 承担参赛风险及责任 6.1 参赛者将承担所有应参赛而可能涉及的风险, 如物品遗失 个人损伤 物品损坏等, 主办单位将不承担相关风险及责任 6.2 参赛者所呈交的作品如违反或怀疑违反知识产权或肖像权等法律, 进而涉及相关的取缔或制裁行动, 包括索赔 被起诉等纠纷等, 须由参赛者自行调解 主办单位将不需对参赛者的不当行为负责 6.3 所有参赛者需遵守在粤海清庙拍照的规则 7. 其它相关条款 7.1 优胜者将赋予主办单位权利重新复制, 修改或分发参赛照片及引用参赛者的个人资料以作为本活动宣传资料及光碟制作之用 主办单位也能将参赛图像用于往后其他非盈利性质的宣传用途上, 并无需另付原创者额外费用 本中心将把原创者姓名注明在所使用的图像, 以示尊重 7.2 如参赛反应未如预期理想, 主办单位有权取消比赛 7.3 主办单位将保留裁切提交作品的主控权, 以利将作品置入所提供的相框 7.4 主办单位将保留随时修订比赛规则的权利, 并无须事先通知各方 6
