Install blocking or framing with consideration for alignment with wiring and mounting locations. 4 Hook fixture on ceiling brackets 1 Bring fixture close to ceiling and hook fixture bracket on to ceiling bracket. 2 Rotate fixture upward so fixture bracket touches ceiling. If needed, make adjustments to have fixture square with the ceiling. REVISION ZONE REV. DESCRIPTION G A MOUNTING POSITION INITIAL DRAWING POWERFEED SAMPLE DRAWING 2 J-Box position Install J-box (by others) to structure with applicable mounting hardware (by others) at locations per final/record drawing. 5A Secure fixture with screws After fixture is aligned, screw included 8-32 screws to the fixture bracket with 1/8 allen key. 3 Install ceiling bracket Install ceiling bracket and J-box cover to the structure using applicable mounting hardware (by others) as shown at locations per final/record drawings. 6 6 Remove protective film Peel the protective film on fixture. This film can be re-applied on the fixture to protect it from construction debris, dust etc. 9 Re-install heat sink Re-install heat sink. Make sure wires are not pinched between parts and heat sink is aligned with adjacent heat sink.! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 7 Remove heat sink for wire access Remove the heat sink marked per final drawings by unscrewing four screws. 8 Connect wiring Pull wires into the fixture from J-box and make connections with driver wires as per wiring diagram shown on Page 11. 7 Installation: Joining Straight Sections 10 Connect wiring Bring adjacent fixture to ceiling and attach quick-connects between two sections. 13 Secure internal joiner brackets Using 1/8" allen key, fasten internal brackets.! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 11 Install other section on ceiling Mount other sections to ceiling per Steps 4 and Align and slide sections together Slide joining section over brackets extended from the previous section. 8 Installation: Joining Miter Sections 14 Connect wiring Bring the adjacent fixture to the ceiling and connect wiring quick-connects. 17 Install diffuser shim Install diffuser shim in slots.! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 15 Align and slide sections together Slide miter section over brackets extended from the previous section. All brackets should slide partially into joined section. Check for alignment. 16 Connect internal brackets Using 1/8" allen key, tighten internal connector brackets. 9 Installation: ControlRoll TM Lens 18 Bring lens to fixture Raise ControlRoll lens to fixture. For longer fixture lengths, two people may be needed. Always wear protective eyewear while handling lens. Lens may chip/crack when handled roughly. 20A Press lens into lens channel With first edge of lens in lens channel, press other side of lens up toward opposite channel. 19A Pop in ControlRoll TM lens Insert one edge ControlRoll lens into lens channel. 20B Press lens into lens channel Push lens upward until it snaps into second lens channel. 19B Insert ControlRoll lens into lens channel Insert lens into lens channel. 21 Snap lens along fixture Continue pressing both sides of lens into lens channel until lens is fully installed along length of fixture. 10 Installation: Finishing 22 Turn power on Turn power back on at the breaker. 24 Apply reflector paper (multi-section fixtures) Apply adhesive-backed reflector paper over open joiner sections. 23 Illuminate fixture Power fixture and check for complete illumination 25 Apply reflector paper (multi-section fixtures) Apply reflector paper over joiner openings inside extrusion. 12 Troubleshooting Only a certified electrician can service and troubleshoot product field issues. Always turn main power off before servicing fixture. Full Fixture does not illuminate Ensure fixture is wired correctly and power is on. Check that circuit breaker is on and not off or tripped. Internal LED driver may be defective. Ensure no wires are pinched between parts after joining sections or re-attaching end caps. Full fixture is flickering 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information. Possible loose DATA + and - connections from fixture to 0-10V, DMX, or DALI control. Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection from driver to LED. Call customer support. Fixture section(s) do not illuminate Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards or from LED driver to LED boards. Some fixtures contain multiple LED drivers. In this case, it s possible one of the drivers is defective, which will cause the LED connected to the driver not to illuminate. Call tech support. Ensure no wires are pinched between parts after joining sections or re-attaching end caps. Fixture section(s) are flickering Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards. Fixture does not dim 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information.
