Depending on the configuration, they can print anything from the smallest panels through roll material to oversize media of any kind. And always with accurate precision. The machines are at the heart of small print providers, the secret weapon of high-end printing houses and vital, integrated members of industrial corporations. There is an ideal machine for every production volume. Nyala An extra large print bed measuring 3.2 by 1.6 metres offers more than enough room for the most popular panel formats. Nyala is an unbeatable high-performance machine with nine colour channels that processes material at a maximum rate of 140 m2/h. Performance can be increased to 200 m2/h by utilising quadruple CMYK configuration.

3 Impala 1024 nozzles per print head and an impressive output of 130 m2/h have made Impala the trio s most sold. The standard CMYK may be enhanced by as many as five additional channels. They include white, light- or spot colours, varnish and even primer for printing on glass. Oryx The cost-effective economy model has a striking amount to offer. It is equipped with eight colour channels. 512 nozzles in the print head deliver a visual print resolu tion of up to 1350 dpi. Oryx prints a maximum speed of 70 m2 per hour in draft mode.

4 Roll to Roll option Whether vinyl, fabric, mesh or other roll stock, swissqprint systems can handle them all. And that across the full printing width of 2.5 metres (Oryx/Impala) or 3.2 metres (Nyala). Setting up and changing rolls is easy, and once the job is started the machine continues working without supervision. A well-designed, stable roller system conveys the material across the printing table and winds it up cleanly on the other side. An integrated control system regulates the tension and guarantees a perfect print image every time. When necessary, multiple colour layers can be applied in one pass and are absolutely register-true as a result. In addition, roll stock can be used as a conveyor for oversized rigid sheets of up to 4 metres in length. Roller tables dock on as extensions to the printing table for extra length. The control system ensures an accurate and steady feed even when printing heavy panels. Clustering Situation: a variety of print images on a supersized length. Intelligent solution: the controller identifies the optimal nesting and masks out other print images. After the printing pass completes, the controller advances the media, unmasks the next group of images, and sets the machine to work. 5 Board option swissqprint systems equipped with the ingenious board option hold oversized panels and difficult roll media firmly in place under full-power vacuum during the printing process. When the printing beam reaches the end of the table, a sophisticated feed system takes over and advances the substrate automatically. Printing continues seamlessly as soon as the substrate is positioned exactly at the new zero origin. The appeal of this process lies in a combination of absolute precision and high efficiency. Flawless end-to-end printing on rigid media up to 4 metres long is a standard routine. The system really comes into its own when handling stretchy, heat-sensitive or very slippery substrates. Heavyweight materials up to 100 kg literally float across the table on an air cushion generated by reversing the vacuum system. Heavy substrate are thus effortlessly positioned. Cropping Situation: a print subject that exceeds the length of the printing table and requires buildingup in multiple layers. Intelligent solution: the controller identifies the optimal crop and origin points and then processes the first segment. For instance: primer first, then ink, and finally an effect varnish. When all of these process steps are complete, the media is advanced with high precision and the printing process for the adjoining section begins without any visible transition between them, of course.

6 Colours Inkjet printing is as colourful as the world around us. The systems CMYK standard is expandable to eight (Oryx) or nine (Impala/Nyala) colours: they include light colours for recreating natural skin tones and fine shading, as well as white, special effects lacquer and even primer for printing on glass. Special colours such as orange, violet and green expand the colour space further still for even more Pantone colour tones. All of the UV-hardened inks are VOC free. They bond on acrylic, dibond, wood, tarpaulins and awnings, polyester, polycarbonate, polystyrene, (rigid foam) PVC, vinyl films, flexible foam panels and numerous other media. 7 Software The swissqprint control centre is quite simply versatile, accommodating a comprehensive scope of parameterisation. For instance, fine adjustments before and after the RIP process are just as possible as the free positioning of differing or identical images. When the board option is used, the controller determines the ideal moment for clustering and cropping. In summary: the software is a guarantor for seamless and flawless results. The livespooler, a small supplementary tool, communicates between the RIP station and the output software. This makes workflow continuous and enables the machine operator to maintain a clear overview and keep timing under control. The tool tracks the jobs dispatched from the spooler and provides continuous feedback on the status of each job. The position of each job in the queue is always clear. The livespooler also keeps track of the number of printed copies, status reports and ink reservoir levels. Here is another example of the various auxiliary functions: a high-resolution CCD camera in the printing table provides a view of the printing nozzles magnified by a factor of 500 to enable visual adjustments.

8 Features Impressive substrate dimensions Oryx and Impala print panels up to metres in size and 50 mm thick despite astoundingly modest space requirements. Dimensions up to metres are a breeze for Nyala. Targeted suction power The vacuum system is seamlessly adjustable along the width of the print bed. Masking is largely unnecessary. A higher-powered vacuum option is available for industrial applications. Media diversity UV-hardening inks adhere to acrylic, dibond, wood, blueprints, polyester, polycarbonate, polystyrene, (highdensity) PVC foam sheet, vinyl films, flexible foam panels and with a bonding agent even to glass and similar special materials. Homogenous white White ink has a well-known tendency for sedimentation. swissqprint systems keep it agitated and circulated right down the print nozzles. Reliable print results are always assured, regardless of how often white is actually used. Better safe than sorry Crash Sensor Technology prevents damage, for instance if the material thickness was entered incorrectly or corners on the medium are sticking out. The print head carriage is stopped immediately. Vacuum inversion The Quick Release button neutralises the vacuum in no time at all and the substrate can be removed immediately. Thrust reversal creates an air cushion for effortless handling of heavy media. Multi-purpose registration pins The simple, quickly set registration pins are a unique feature. Next to defining the zero-origin, they also provide additional mechanical attachment points: format-independent, with as many as required to make efficient use of the printing table area.
