8 Example Project Using Stereo Satellite Imagery in BC IKONOS

9 Example Project on Vancouver Island Acquire stereoscopic IKONOS (81cm) satellite imagery, and load into a softcopy photogrammetric workstation, Project for BC Ministry of Forests and Range The imagery is analyzed and interpreted in 3D (stereo). Methods derived from this approach can be used by the for ongoing inventories of landslides (and possibly other resource features such as MPB attack sites). Tested topographic map production

15 Calculate landslide feature volume The value calculated is 368, cubic metres. If the pre-slide area had a drainage channel then the actual volume would be less than our calculated volume.
