Know-how of Painting & Drawing. Creativity displayed in original composition. Students to: 1. Create two art works as per the theme and style mentioned 2. They also to give a small write up (one para) about each of their works General objectives: 1. Students should gain knowledge about Indian Art in particular and World Art in general. 2. A working knowledge of art media, materials and equipment. 3. Study and use different medias and various techniques in your paintings. 4. Preferred Medium: Water, poster and acrylic colour. Specific guidelines: (i) Use A4 sheet of cartridge paper/canvas (ii) Draw with pencil (iii) No margins should be drawn (iv) Use poster, acrylic or water colour Summer vacation Brush, Water colour, pencil, eraser, water bowl. The learners will be instructed to limit their research specific to the theme and explore the origin of the paintings (origin, technique, of the painting). The rubrics of assessment will be announced to the students in advance. Criteria / Rubrics for assessment *These paintings are mere examples for the students. They are encouraged to create their own compositions. Originality of the content : 5 Marks Presentation : 2 Marks Authenticity : 3 Marks

2 Values imparted through the Activities Follow up Painting style to be used To give a vent to the creative abilities of the learner to use the information gathered and aesthetically use the tools to present the ideas in the form of art. Constructive follow up will be done after the assessment. If needed individually in the class or in general. Collage work: Collage is done by pasting together pieces of colorful plain paper/newspaper sheet/magazine sheet. The paper can be cut into small pieces to create the kind of effects shown below. Check paintings below for reference. The paintings for reference are attached below:
