It is nice and relaxing to sit in the evening with the family and I find that I can enjoy it more if I am coloring. For some reason I feel like if I am sitting, I need to be doing something. I ordered the Color The Epistles: Catholic Coloring Book for this purpose. I figure that I can at least be inspired and reflect on the scripture while I am coloring. It at least makes me feel better about sitting and not accomplishing more than a colored page.the Color The Epistles coloring book is what the author calls Sunrise/Sunset. This means that each scripture picture has two copies. One is white with black drawing (SUNRISE) and the other is black with white drawing (SUNSET). The SUNSET version reminds me a lot of the black velvet fuzzy posters you can buy for children. It just is not fuzzy.none of the pictures are especially complicated to color. I

4 really like this. Who wants to be stressed out trying to color when you are doing it to relax? I have found that the SUNRISE pictures work well with colored pencils and the SUNSET pictures really stand out with markers. Each of the pages are one-sided with a black design on the back. If you wanted to tear them out, you do not waste a picture on the back. This is definitely a plus. Also, if you use markers, you don't risk the markers bleeding through and messing up the picture on the back. I tried using markers on the SUNSET picture and could not see where any of the markers bled through. There are no marks on the black back or on the next picture. Also, the black on the NIGHT picture did not smear into my markers. Each of the pages are thicker than regular paper but not as thick as cardstock. They are thick, but still flexible.
