We are committed to providing Vistarians with a holistic creative aesthetic experience which covers all aspects of the Arts, to think out of the box and to develop the creative and aesthetic talents. Exposure to the Arts In 2018, the students will be taught using the structured art programme. 2 1 Week 1-2: (Lesson 1-2) 1) Understand 1) Housekeeping and introduction to basic housekeeping and art art room rules and coursework requirements. room rules to abide 2) Observation Sketches based on chosen topic. Week 1-3 (Lesson 3-7) Observation and Creative Drawing Exercise Concurrently Art journal, students explore various styles of drawings and sketching methods to creatively express their thoughts and processes visually in a A4 drawing book. Week Dimensional Mini Coursework (NV Art Exhibition Project Sec 3s) Introduction to Ceramics. Different types of clays Pottery tools and equipment Glazes Kilns and firing points. Techniques: Wedging Pinching Coiling Slabbing Glazing Project Title: Egg Sculpture Pinching Learning Space Coiling Project Tiles Slabbing (Differentiated Instructions) 2) Understand coursework requirements and expectations 3) Learn and practise using basic art materials such as pen, pencils, pastels and acrylic paint to create values and tones 4) Learn and apply different form of art making. 5) Identify different characteristics in different art techniques in creating a 3D artwork. 6) Students to appreciate th art making process as well as the importance of applying personal experiences in conceptualizing their art work. 7) Effective students feedbacks and evaluation will be applied. 2

3 2 South East Asia Art Theory lessons in digital lab, mainly on Southeast Asia and Contemporary Art. Final assessment: Online Art exhibition on SEA artist and their artworks. This is a pair work. Each student to present three artwork done by one artist. No repetition is allowed. South East Asia Art Part 1 8) Learn and practise using basic art materials such as pen, pencils, pastels and acrylic paint to create values and tones 9) Learn and apply painting of a copy painting on canvas Theory lessons will be conducted in the Digital Lab, focusing on Southeast Asia and contemporary art. **Final Assessment: Hold an online exhibition on any 2 Southeast Asian artists\s artwork of the same country. This will be a pair work. (Week 3 presentation) 10) Identify different characteristics in different art movements SEA Art Part 2 (Copy painting) (Week 3-7) Student will do a copy painting of one SEA artist s work. Students to decide the dimension of their papers/ canvases (A3) Week 8-10 Mid Year Examination Preparation 3 Week 1-2 Fundamentals of Photography Vendor to conduct 2 photography workshops. Students to learn the basics of photography. Students to be able to cmmunicate their ideas/concepts visually. Students to be able to create 3

Students would realise the importance of exploring of alternatives in art.
