15 Dmitry Lisichenko Dmitry Lisichenko attended the Moscow Art Lyceum and the Surikov Art Institute. He worked initially as a restorer, repainting the famous murals of Moscow Cathedral. Later, he developed his current interest in romantic and genre subjects, with their meditative and enigmatic figures. He has exhibited, most recently, in the Medici and Albemarle Galleries in London. Maria Stcherbinina Maria Stcherbinina studied painting at the Moscow University of Design. She is a regular exhibitor at the Medici Gallery in Cork Street, London, and has contributed to a number of group shows in the Oriel and other galleries in Ireland and the UK. Her work appears in public and private collections in Moscow, Dublin, London and New York. Semion Kojin Semion was born in Moscow in He was something of a child prodigy, entering the Moscow Art Lyceum at the age of nine. From there, he went on to the famous Moscow Academy of Arts, studying with the distinguished tutor Ilya Glazunov. After graduating he was in immediate demand as a painter, muralist and illustrator. Commissioned work included innumerable murals for restaurants, offices and public buildings in Moscow and elsewhere. Lucian Pavarotti was an aficionado, commissioning Semion to make a number of portraits and sketches for the late singer s autobiography. In addition, Semion has exhibited in major galleries and art fairs in London, Dublin and Moscow. His work appears in public and private collections in Russia, U.K., United States, Italy, Spain and Malta. Amir Timergaleev Amir Timergaleev was born in Kazan, southeast of Moscow, in He started his education as a painter in the Kazan Art School at the age of just fifteen, moving on to the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow. He became absorbed in School of Paris painters, particular Matisse and Cézanne, and became aware of the contribution made to modernism by the Russian masters Kandinsky and Malevich. He was particularly inspired by the links Kandinsky forged between music and colour. Timergaleev continued to explore the gret schools of modernism, noteably Cubism, Expressionism and Fauvism, producing what one critic has called classical images of the avantgarde culture. Alexey Terenin Born in Moscow in 1969, Alexey was raised in Prague from the age of four. The son of an architect, he graduated from the Moscow Architectural Academy in He never practised as an architect, being invited on graduation to design a stage set for Moscow s State Bolshoi Theatre production of Igor Stravinsky s ballet Capriccio. He was subsequently invited to participate in visual art festivals in the Czech Republic, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.A. Alexey s work features in private, bank and corporate collections across Europe, Asia, the U.K, the U.S.A and now Ireland. His solo exhibition in Jorgensen Fine Art, Dublin was a great success.
