PT32 GST A sophisicaed hermosa which can be remoely conrolled by means of SMS messages from your mobile phone. The hermosa includes wo devices, emperaure conroller and GSM module, which co-operae, hus increasing he comfor of he heaing sysem conrol. Simple conrol elemens are used for seing; movemen in he menu is faciliaed wih ENGLISH opions. Remoe conrol is execued by means of brief SMSs which enable you, for example, o change he required emperaure or urn off he sysem. This unique hermosa wih a big backli display and inelligen PID-conrol offers a wide variey of usage in residenial houses, offi ces as well as recreaion areas. 2 INSTALLATION Insall he hermosa a a suiable place where is operaion will no be affeced by direc fl ow of ho air from a heaing source, by sunshine or oher disurbing effecs. Do no insall i on an exernal wall eiher. The insallaion heigh should be a leas 1.5 m above he ground. Locae he hermosa in he so-called reference room, such as he living room (he hea source will be swiched according o he emperaure in his room). The insallaion can only be done by a person wih adequae qualificaion! Before insallaion, disconnec he power supply! 1) Swich off he main circui breaker. 2) Remove he conrol par from he boom cover of he device (Fig. 1). 3) Chip off he plasic piece in he middle of he boom cover o lead in he conducors. 4) Run he conducors hrough he hole and connec hem o he erminal board, see he wiring diagram. 5) Fasen he boom cover o he wiring box by means of screws (Fig. 2). 6) Inser he acivaed SIM card ino he SIM card holder a he back of he conrol par. 7) If you wan o back up he ime, insall he rechargeable baeries (see Fig. 3). 8) Moun he conrol par ono he boom cover (Fig. 2). 9) Connec he power supply o he connecor No. 1 or No. 2 (see page 1). 10) Swich on he main circui breaker and es he hermosa for correc connecion, see page 3 (TEST). 11) Upon he fi rs sar (or rese), he hermosa shows he SET CLOCK, ENTER PIN messages; se he curren ime and dae acc. o he insrucions on page 3, ener he PIN acc. o page 7 and selec language acc page 5. Fig.1 Fig.3 AA rechargeable baery AA rechargeable baery The hermosa enables backup of ime in case of power failure. You mus use rechargeable baeries 2x1,2 V, ype AA/R6. Afer power failure, he ime remains curren (approximae service life: 2 years, according o he ype of baeries used). The advanage is recharging of he baeries afer he power supply is resored. CAUTION: THE BATTERIES ARE NOT USED FOR SUPPLYING THE THERMOSTAT, FOR WHICH THE AD05-jack POWER SOURCE MUST BE USED (see page 1). SET TIME Press he MENU, buon wice; choose he CLOCK mode by urning he buon and make he seings acc. o page 3. SET TIME SET HOUR ENTER PIN Press he MENU, buon wice; choose he CONST mode by urning he buon; move on o se CONST13 acc. o page 7. CONSTANTS 13 ENTER PIN 2

3 OPERATING MODES Pressing any buon fi rs, you acivae he display backli. By anoher shor press of he MENU buon, you open he main menu in which you can choose operaing modes. AUTO (he Pr3 weekly program se by defaul, see page 4) The hermosa works according o he weekly program seings (his program can be changed; for deailed descripion, see PROG, page 4). Press wice he MENU, choose he AUTO mode by urning he and press he buon o confi rm. SMS form: Auo Change of he mode o AUTO. Thermosa will be work acc. las seing weekly program. AUTO MOdE MANU (defaul emperaure seing of 21 C) The hermosa works according o he emperaure seing unil he nex manual change. Press wice he MENU, choose he MANU mode by urning he and press he buon o confi rm.. SMS form: Manu Change of he mode o MANU. Thermosa will be keep las seing emperaure. OFF (he ani-freeze emperaure of 3 C is kep canno be changed) The hermosa is permanenly swiched off unil he nex manual change of he mode. Press wice he MENU, choose he OFF mode by urning he and press he buon o confi rm. SMS form: Off Change of he mode o OFF. You can cancel he mode by he SMS: Temp xx or Auo or Manu HOLIDAY The hermosa mainains he prese emperaure unil he prese dae and seleced ime. Afer expiry of he prese period, i auomaically reurns o he AUTO/ MANU mode las seleced before he holiday. Press wice he MENU buon, choose he mode by urning he and press he buon o confi rm. Sep by sep, se he emperaure which he hermosa should keep during he holiday, dae and ime of your reurn from he holiday. Change he values by urning he buon and confi rm each change by pressing he buon. Afer making he seings, press he buon o reurn o he basic screen. Noe: The holiday mode can be cancelled any ime by selecing anoher AUTO or MANU mode. CLOCK SETTING Seing he curren ime and dae. Press wice he MENU buon, choose he CLOCK mode by urning he buon, and press he buon o confi rm. Change he values by urning he buon and confi rm each change by pressing he buon (he parameer modifi ed is always fl ashing); pressing he buon, you reurn o he menu). 4 PROG (PROGRAMMING) You can se 9 weekly programs wih 6 emperaure changes per day. The Pr1 and Pr2 programs are empy; Pr3 o Pr7 programs are se by defaul. Change in he program seings: Press wice he MENU buon, choose he PROG mode by urning he buon, and press he buon o confi rm. The seleced program number is fl ashing on he display. Turning he buon, choose he program which you wan o change and press he buon o confi rm. Turning he buon, choose he number of days o be programmed (you can program day-by-day or 1-5 = Mon-Fri, 6-7 = Sa-Sun, or 1-7 = Mon-Sun) and press he buon o confi rm. The 1s change ime sars fl ashing; se he ime by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. Se he emperaure for his ime by urning he buon and press again he buon o confi rm. The 2nd change ime appears on he display. Proceed in he same way as wih he fi rs change seing. In his way, you can se up o 6 emperaure changes per day. To reurn one sep back, shorly press he buon; o reurn o he main menu, press he buon long. Afer changing he prese program, check wheher all he changes made conform o your requiremens! I is no necessary o apply all six changes o one day! PROGRAMMING SELECT PROGRAM SELECT day TIME CHANGES Tables of emperaure programs: program No.1 program No.2 program No.3 program No.4 program No.5 Noe: 5/21 means ha he required emperaure a 5 o clock is 21 C program No.6 program No.7 All he indicaed programs can be changed! Choose he language by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. 2 MINIMUM CONTROL TEMPERATURE (5 C se by defaul) Seing he limi of he minimum emperaure which can be se. If using he GSM module, you will be informed by an SMS ha he room emperaure has dropped below his value. Choose wihin he range from 3 C o 10 C (by 0.5 C). Se he value by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. 3 MAXIMUM CONTROL TEMPERATURE (39 C se by defaul) Seing he limi of he maximum emperaure which can be se. If using he GSM module, you will be informed by an SMS ha he room emperaure has risen above his value Choose wihin he range from 15 C o 39 C (by 0.5 C). Se he value by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. CONSTANTS TEMP. TEMP. 4 CONTROL TYPE (PID conrol se by defaul) Selecion of he conrol ype: Choose he ype of conrol by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. HS = Hyseresis Difference beween he desired and curren emperaure. TYPE OF REGUL. If he hyseresis is 1 C and he desired emperaure is 20 C, he hermosa swiches off a 20 C, and on a 19 C (see he graph). For correc hyseresis funcion, se he parameers according o he heaing sysem ype; see CONST 5. Noe: If hyseresis is seleced, CONST 6 is skipped auomaically. PI = proporional-inegral conrol The PI-conrol principle consiss in comparison of he curren room emperaure wih he desired emperaure. The PI-conrol aims a achieving and mainaining he desired emperaure wihou overshooing (see he graph). For correc funcion of he PI-conrol, se he conrol parameers according o he ype of he heaing sysem wih respec o he room hermal ineria; see CONST 6. Noe: If he PI-conrol is seleced, CONST 5 is skipped auomaically. PID = proporional-inegral-derivaive conrol The PID-conrol principle consiss in coninuous comparison of he curren room emperaure wih he desired emperaure, and auomaic adapaion of he conroller o he given condiions. This is he mos perfec coninuous conrol; you can achieve no only shor conrol ime, bu also high accuracy wihou permanen conrol deviaion. The minimum swich-on ime is inernally se o 2 minues, he proporional band is 2 C, he ime inerval is auomaically recalculaed according o curren emperaure condiions. Noe: If he PID-conrol is seleced, CONST 5 and CONST 6 are skipped auomaically. 6 5 SETTING HYSTERESIS PARAMETERS HYSTERESIS (facory seing of 0.5 C) Se from 0.1 o 6 C. According o he value prese, he hermosa swiches on a he emperaure: T swiching = T required - HYSTERESIS Se he hyseresis by urning he buon, and confi rm wih he buon. HYSTERESIS MINIMUM SWITCH-ON TIME (facory seing of 2 min) Here you can se he minimum swich-on ime of he boiler in minues a hyseresis. Selec wihin he range from 1 o 5 minues according o he ype of he heaing sysem used (see he able). Se he value by urning he buon, and confi rm wih he buon. 6 SETTING PI-CONTROL PARAMETERS PI-CONTROL INTERVAL (facory seing of 10 min.) Selec according o he objec s hermal ineria. The opimum seing usually falls wihin he range of 10 o 15 min. The adjusable range is 5 min o 20 min (by 1 min). MIN TIME ON Se he inerval by urning he buon, and confi rm wih he buon. MINIMUM SWITCH-ON TIME (facory seing of 2 min.) Selec wihin he range of 1 o 5 minues. The seing is given by he heaing sysem ype, and depends on he PI-conrol ime period selecion. Seing according o he able is recommended. Se he value by urning he buon, and confi rm wih he buon. PI-CONTROL BAND (facory seing of 2 C) TThis value deermines he emperaure a which he PI-conrol sars funcioning. For example, he desired emperaure is 22 C, he proporional band is 1.5 C. Up o 20.5 C, he source heas fully. When his value is reached, he PI-conrol sars. The PROPORTIONAL band can be se wihin he range of 0.5 o 3.0 C (by 0.1 C). You need no consider when o swich he heaing on in order o be warm when geing up in he morning wihou heaing unnecessarily long in advance. You jus program he ime a which you wan he desired emperaure. Wihin wo operaing days, he program ascerains he hermal consans of he room and hen i swiches he heaing on in advance suffi cienly. The preliminary swich-on ime is limied o 2 hours. Se YES/NO by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. 8 SUMMER MODE (NO se by defaul) In his mode, you are no allowed o swich he heaing on. I can paricularly be used in he summer period, when you need no hea. Afer you enable his mode, he symbol appears on he display. Noe: The ani-freeze proecion (3 C) is sill enabled. In his mode, you canno change he emperaure or se he holiday mode! Se YES/NO by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. PRE SWITCH MOdE SUMMER MOdE 9 EVEN-ODD WEEK SELECTION (NO se by defaul) If you choose YES, he PrU and PrL programs will alernae auomaically according o he curren week (even/odd). The seing can only be done afer 12 hours of operaion, when he inernal sensor emperaure has seled. Measure he room emperaure wih a hermomeer; if i is differen from he emperaure on he hermosa, se he correcion wihin he range of -5 C do +5 C. Se he correcion by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. 12 EXTERNAL SENSOR SELECTION ( se by defaul) If an exernal sensor is conneced, he symbol appears on he LCD. The exernal sensor can be used for: 1, conrol according o he room emperaure - he sensor is locaed in he room ( opion) 2, conrol according o he floor emperaure - he sensor is locaed in he fl oor (- - - opion) If conneced, he exernal sensor measures he emperaure a he place of is insallaion (suiable, for example, for places a which he hermosa canno be locaed, ye you wan o conrol according o his room); 3, maximum floor emperaure monioring - čhe sensor is locaed in he fl oor (selecion of 15 o 99,5 C) 15 99,5 C If conneced, he exernal sensor moniors he fl oor emperaure; he maximum emperaure allowed for fl oor heaing mus be se (conrol according o he room emperaure, wih simulaneous floor emperaure monioring). If he prese limi emperaure is exceeded, he hermosa is swiched off irrespecive of he room emperaure, and he EXT SENS STOP message appears on he LCD. The heaing device is swiched on again if he exernal sensor emperaure drops by 0.5 C. If he exernal sensor is unconneced or fauly, he EXT SENS ERROR message appears on he LCD. Turning he buon, ener 4 digis sepwise; confi rm each seing wih he buon. 14 TEST We recommend he es a firs use of he hermosa o verify is correc connecion! This funcion is idenical wih he TEST mode in he basic menu. Sar he es by urning he buon. The oupu relay is swiched on/off several imes (he ON/OFF messages appear on he LCD). Inser he SIM card and rese PT32GST. Then repea he seing and es. Wrong PIN. Rese PT32GST and ener PIN again. 7

8 15 KEY LOCK (NO se by defaul) This is used for locking he conrols as a proecion agains undesirable inerference of a foreign person. Se YES/NO by urning he buon and press he buon o confi rm. 16 KEY CODE This consan can be se if CONST 15 = YES. I is used for seing he code by which you will be able o acivae he conrols. Se a four-digi combinaion (range from 0 o 9). The keys will be locked wihin 1 minue (afer opening he basic display). The symbol appears on he LCD. If you press he or buon, he LCD asks you o ener he key code; afer enering he correc code, you are able o make any changes (he conrols are funcional again). The conrols will auomaically be locked again afer you fi nish he seing (wihin approx. 1 min). Gradually se 4 digis by urning he buon; confi rm each seing wih he buon. RECOMMENDATION: - Record he key code in he able - You can cancel he code by seing CONST 15 o NO, or by resoring he defaul seings of he hermosa (see CONST 19). 17 BOILER INSPECTION REMINDER ( se by defaul) Se he dae on which you wan o be informed abou he necessiy of he prescribed boiler service. A he required ime, he MAINTENANCE NECESSARY message and he symbol will appear on he boom line of he LCD (you can cancel he message by seing a new dae for he nex boiler mainenance!). Gradually se he day, monh and year by urning he buon, confi rm each seing wih he. 18 PASSWORD (no se by defaul) I is used for locking he consans relaed o he given conrol seings. Suiable for service echnicians. Afer a numerical code has been enered, he user canno change consans No. 4, 5, 6 and 10. If you open he CONST mode and browse he consans, he symbol appears nex o he consans locked; if you urn he buon, he password is required! Unless you ener he password, he consans remain locked. To ry o unlock hem again, you mus exi he CONST mode and browse up he consan locked again. Turning he buon, gradually ener four digis and confi rm each seing wih he. 19 VERSION (resoring he defaul seings) Firmware version, informaive parameer only. If you press he buon long (for abou 3 s), he RESET message appears shorly on he LCD and he hermosa reurns o he defaul seings!
